What is this about?

Well, back in Oh-6, Par wondered if, perhaps, this internet wasn't a little too much "hey look at this", "something happened to me", and "this really sucks." He didn't mind it, but he felt a break was in order.

He thought that maybe the end of the year would be a good time for good friends to reflect on the good stuff and goodliness that transpired, goodly, in the past year.

And so, the annual Best-Of was born. From December 15 (or, in the year of its coming, from December 28) to January 25, people can have the best of their year preserved in a special collection -- tagged, as it were, simply by checking off the appropriate box when they post a message.

From the best of the films they watched and music they listened to, to the life-changing experiences they will always remember from that year forward, people remembered and reflected.

Thus do we present us our annals...
