well, yes Taylor, I agree that the whole Mother Earth idea sort-of dictates femininity... but all the same, the idea behind most of these environmental movements is to be inclusive, both racial- and gender-related. Still, sure enough, women do seem to have far more aesthetic bodies... curves are a whole lot easier to take than non-curves (for lack of a better description), and the whole nurturing thing fits right in there too as far as comfort with bodies goes (fitting in with your statement on the way society has trained us...). But Naked Woman on Cow? What exactly is that supposed to be about? "Hooray I'm free, and I'm riding a cow!" ?? And the two women together scene could just as easily been a guy and a girl, or two guys... I mean, it's all pretty tasteful etc., no nipples or anything, but still...

oh, speaking of nipples... (um, i know, really odd segue) the Suicide Girls are performing their particular brand of burlesque at the New City Likwid Lounge soon. They were in the paper today, and BUST regualrly mentions them in their pages. The whole nipples tie in: they're using electrical tape for pasties... ow! it does sound sort-of interesting though.

Hey thanks Ed, if I buy through memory express, I could save around $100, plus I could drive down and get the stuff, and probably save on shipping! Road trip!

Speaking of road trips, I'm off to BC with the guys from Toys R Us, we roll back in town on Monday, so I guess I'll see you all sometime after that.

Then after all that, it's birthday week, so there will probably be a party sometime on the weekend of the 16-17. After that, on the night of July 24th is Garnstock. One of the guys who I'm going to BC with is once again building a stage out at his cabin on Pigeon Lake, and holding a huge party there, with bands, liquor and more. And by more I mean Lime, because they will be playing there. Which reminds me, I have the tickets for all you Lime boys out there, but if anyone else wants to buy a ticket, just let me know, I'll start selling them as soon as I get back. Tickets are $20, which includes a place to camp overnight, the bands, security and first aid, and a free hot dog! You can also buy alcohol there for $2.50, or bring it yourself if you wish (but they've asked people not to bring glass bottles for safety reasons). They've really got it going on this year, but that's enough plugging for me. I'll see you all in a week.

Alison... it's MOTHER Earth. If it was Father Earth you'd have some slovenly fat guy in a wifebeater sipping beers and eating TV-dinners. That wouldn't make for a particularly attractive front-page for a website.

Besides, we can all agree that the male body pales in comparison to the overwhelming aesthetic qualities of the curvilinear female figure. Or maybe that's just what society dicatates. But as a product of said society I think they're right anyway.

My favourite part of Prague is the front page of their official website which reads as follows:

"This sprig and summer bring to our golden city concerts of stars such as Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Lenny Kravitz or Mettalica and many more."

Too bad they had to go and fuck up at UEFA 2004 too.

Hey Leo, I looked at several places online, including bcom, even with shipping it's still cheaper to buy everything from tigerdirect.ca. Unless of course you (or anyone else on this board) knows of any other good places to buy computer parts cheap.

Also, does anyone know any good websites on the subject of building a computer?

so... first thing I notice about this website: naked woman on cow
in fact, multiple naked women are in the first few pages of the site
I suppose... naked woman = earth goddess... or something to that extent
but there are no naked men (not that I'm complaining), nor even shirtless men...
I don't get it. Usually sites like this are about equality, perhaps this is more about aesthetics...
