Didn't the guy (kingsley or whatever) claim that he had posted the images/lyrics on the board as examples of continuing discrimination against women? Does anyone know if he actually wrote that somewhere on the site or if that was something he made up after the fact?

Well seeing as I have a little too much time to waste before homework finally catches up with me I'll will do a comparison between Dai-X and Grand Arms Panzer. If you don't remember Dai-X is the lame robot that thinks its better then Grand Arms. Well lets start comparing.

    Height
Dai-X:Unknown but knowing Go Nagai probally around 20 meters.
    Grand Arms: 20 meters

    Winner: Its a tie

    Weapons
Dai-X:5 weapons as listed on the Dai-X website.
Grand Arms:many, if I had to put a number I would have to say at least 12.

Winner: Thru a shear number of weapons Grand Arms wins.

Weapons that can destroy a planet
    Dai-X: none
Grand Arms:Lets see: Omega Beam, Unitary Blade, Final Salvo, Extreme Positron Laser(maybe). So that is at least 3 or 4 weapons.

Winner: By a landslide Grand Arms wins.

    Number of Pilots
    Dai-X:3
    Grand Arms: 1

Winner: Well efficency wise 1 pilot is actually better then 3 because the 3 have to work together or the mecha doesn't work. 1 pilot only has to worry about controlling the mecha by himself so is usually more efficent so Grand Arms Wins. That is now 3-0 Grand Arms.

    Modes of Transformation
Dai-X:3 modes that come together to form Dai-X.
    Grand Arms: 5 different modes.

Winner:Well if you consider 3 fighters that come together good then Dai-X. If you think variability and usefulness then Grand Arms. Also the three fighters have to do there transformation all together if one gets hit and destroyed then Dai-X will not be able to be made. So I would have to say Grand Arms. 4-0 Grand Arms.

    How they look
    Dai X

Grand Arms: 1 drawing done but 4 more still to go.
Winner: If you were one of my professors this would be a case of done and not done. In other words Dai-X is the winner. 4-1 Grand Arms.

    Actual Appearances

Dai-X: His own show which ran in Japan and Britian in the early 80's. Several fan sites.
Grand Arms: Not even on this website.

    Winner: Dai-X. 4-2 Grand Arms.

    Creator
Dai-X: Go Nagai a famous japanese animator maker of Devilman, Shin Getter Robo, Makzengier-Z and various other animes.
    Grand Arms: Well me.

Winner: In a scale of sheer talent Dai-X wins. 4-3 Grand Arms. This doesn't look good.

    Money made off of creation

Dai-X: Considering it had a televison show and probally a line of toys more then Grand Arms will ever make.
Grand Arms: If I made money off Grand Arms would I still be going to school?

    Winner:Dai-X. 4-4 its a tie now!

    Popularity

Dai-X: At least a whole generation of adults in 2 different countries know about him. If websites are any indication probally popular in a cult status.
Grand Arms: Other then the people that see this website, which in the grand scheme of things isn't much probally unkown.

Winner:If you asked anyone on th streets about these 2 mechas 999 times out of 1000 would probally know about Dai-X. So the winner is Da-X. 4-5 Dai-X.

Overall winner would have to be Dai-X. Grand Arms only beats it due to its sheer firepower and butt kicking ability. But in reality with a TV show and money already made off Dai-X, Dai-X actually beats Grand Arms. So Grand Arms like many mecha enthusist creations is better on paper then a well known mecha but in terms of actual popularity is unknown. Yep believe it or not Grand Arms Panzer actulally loses.

Thank you Jack Chick. I haven't finished reading the letter, but I know it's good having gotten to this line:

As one who is a former "vampire," now set free by the power of the Cross of Christ, I have a certain vested interest in this issue which goes beyond the academic.

Alison, with regards to the link on student government, and the related Gateway article, not to play Devil's advocate (although that urge has come up with increasing frequency in recent posts), but it sounds like you want to have your cake and eat it too. What he posted was wrong and, as pointed out, public officials should be careful what they write, when it's available to the public, but if the basis of his removal is that he was (probably indirectly) representing the SU, how is it that you can claim that Meagan doesn't represent ECOS? In both cases, you have people connected to organizations but expressing themselves individually. I'm not saying that Meagan represents ECOS, or that Knisely wasn't being a dou... uh... an assface in writing what he did. But given that Meagan doesn't represent ECOS in her capacity of making the complaint, how can Adam be representative of the SU, or his position therein, when writing in his blog?

    Um, yeah. Cake.

(Mental note: remove the message board from public domain at least one Google-cache lifetime before running for public office.)
