- Tay- That Medi-Bot is hot shit buddeh. Bravo! - It's especially perfect when you consider that it was your first time with that wild 3D program ... I think that job's in the motherfucking bag.
Beck- I told you I had to watch the Yellow Dart today right? If not, sorry I missed going to gym. I thought I had told you, but I now doubt my memory. Sorry about that.
Lastly, two things. First:

Katamari Damacy rocks the god damn party.
Indeed, it is ruining my University career. "Fuck studying - I'm going to roll a bunch of crazy shit into a giant ball." It's that kind of thinking that leads to wasted Thanksgiving weekends. Anyway, check out this (Quicktime) Trailer to give it a necessary taste. - Best of all, there's an entire level devoted to picking up chicks. Literally. And it is total bliss.
Also, they have a couple of downloads so you can make 3D folded paper models of characters in the game:

Holy shit! - So, uh, who's got a colour printer? ... No, seriously!
Second: The Jehovah's Witnesses came round today. I'm still at a loss as to why. She discussed war in a most general and vague sense, suggesting God would soon fix things, citing that the meek would inherit the Earth. And I just listened, blocking the doorway with a bored stoicism, whilst my mom called out "Andrew, no!" - I also gave them my real first name, and I'm still reeling from the consequences that critical mistake may hold for my future. - I've since come to the conclusion that it is in everyone's best interest that I be incredibly rude to these people. The benefits, as you'll see, are tremendous: both parties would have a delicious little story to share. So, next time, I'll give them an experience they could recount to all of their friends: "And he just kept fondling himself, asking us 'Hey, where's your God now? Where's your God now?' I just couldn't stop crying."

- Ok, I bit the bullet, and put down the cash on the new site. It should be ready by Friday (some tweaking left.) I'll let you know.
- Mayor Bill Smith:
Animated GIF?! Fuck you! Next! - Former Councillor Robert Noce:
Not great, but not immediately vomitous. Picture with the Grey Cup a bit gratuitous, but I can live with it. Grammar (The current Mayor is accusing me that my campaign is sponsored by smoking related companies) isn't great. The big complaint? The massive logo in the "Issues" popups:
We know who you are, Bob. Thanks for burning it into our retinas. - Councillor Stephen Mandel:
Wow... My eyes don't hurt. Except when I look at that picture:
Not bad, but did you have to PDF all your platform material? I mean, it can't be that hard to summarize it into a small sentence like "make the city better." Maybe you can Kerry-ize it with "I have a plan to make the city better." Who knows?
Well, I had talked to AD about the civic election when he had gone throught the candidates. He perused them, and decided they were all dumbshits (haha... just kidding on the square...). I'd like to do the same, but, as they really are dumbshits, and they all say pretty much the same stuff without doing anything, I decided to choose based on their websites. It's the information age, and if you (or some team you come up with) can't put together a decent website, how are you supposed to run a city? With that in mind,
Hmm, now that I've seen the individual Mandel image, outside of the banner, it looks even worse. Bottom line, they all suck. I think (and I think AD thinks, too) that I may just write Hank into the ballot. That'll learn'em. That'll learn 'em good...

- well, Beck, it really is a shame that I'm alison, not "Allison" then isn't it? maybe you should learn how to spell my name before you tell me what I can and cannot do. :p Anyway, I can't go. My Mom is going in for surgery tomorrow, and I should really be around home for the next while to help out where needed. (yes, that includes Saturday night... yes, I'm a bit of a recluse right now too...)
So... onto other things. I've finally found out who's coming for the Revolutionary Speaker's Series, and it's exciting!
October 20th: Marc Kielburger (Executive director of "Free the Children")
January 2nd: Lewis Lapham (Editor, Harper's Magazine)
March 2nd: Avi Lewis (Host of CBC's CounterSpin Recently directed a documentary film called The Take)
April 14th: Morgan Spurlock (writer, director, producer of Super Size Me)
For info. go here
Avi Lewis!!! This is going to be awesome! I'm totally excited... and it's not until March. Oh, he's AWESOME!

- Hey Andy, here's the model I made which you were asking about:
medi-bot
This thing was real rushed. The model sucks and the texture was a 5 minute job, but hey... at least it shows that I can do it. Actually making this thing didn't take much time at all, but figuring out HOW to do it took FOREVER. But now that I've done one, I'm a whiz and I could probably pull models outta my ass in my sleep at this point.
Oh yeah, sleep. I keep forgetting about that.

- Hey Tom, you and Taylor are more than welcome, that list wasn't all encompassing and was really more for the people who I didn't think would come without some coaxing.
Saturday - I'll post more later to arrange meeting and maybe some pre-drinking.
