    Edmonton Ultimate

Some people expressed interest in playing some Ultimate frisbee. There should be some information on this site. From what I've heard, its about 60 bucks for 16 games and a party at the end. It goes from mid-May till August, and its supposed to be Thursday nights, but the City hasnt said for sure what nights Edmonton Ultimate can use the fields. Some of the people I work with are organizing a team (or two, depending on interest). I know I'll be joining their team and Im just putting this out there to see who else is interested.

    Now HERE'S a pickle of a dilemma:

I have an exam tomorrow morning at 9:00. I have not studied for this exam. I have not done any of the readings for this class. I have not attended the vast majority of the lectures. HOWEVER, this would not normally concern me, as this is the status of almost ALL my classes and yet I'm doing relatively well. When it comes to finals, I just read ALL of the readings in one go before I write the exam and I usually get a pretty decent mark. But you see... the thing is... in this particular instance, I can't seem to find my textbook. And in retrospect it seems possible... nay probable, that I may have never actually purchased said item.

    can you say... FUCKED?

It behooves me to ponder the intricacies of my writing and the subsequent passing of the midterm for this class. How the fuck did I do that without a textbook!?

    dammit.

Bear in mind I'm not so fucked as to not see the hilarity of the situation.

back to the 3 posts at once thing.

Par, in terms of the money does so grow on trees article,
they say in the article that chemicals are added to the metals to make them water soluble and therefore absorbable by the plants, neglecting everything to do with seepage into ground water or runoff. Plus, all they talked about was mercury and gold, nothing about cyanide or arsenic, which are already water soluble and notoriously common ground water and well contaminants.

and for those of you who don't have anything better to do
    here's an addictive site
    quizzes and trivia! gah!

on another note, my mom got "pumped up" again,
with again, the left and right breast comparison:
"basketball" and "jello", respectively, in her descriptors
    very interesting differences... truly
i dunno... might be kinda nice, but all the same, I've no intention of messing with nature.

well, Eric, for some reason that makes me think of something on a TV show called "mental floss" that basically gave you the fast and easily digestible version of the day's events... like news for dummies.

and then, typing "mental floss" into Google gave me this which further supports the information for dummies idea... small useless bits of trivia. (aka "condensed knowledge") I think they're just trying to get off as smart... from the looks of it. Come on, what serious smart peoples' magazine would sell plush Einstein dolls? if anything, they'd at least have the action figure, not a plush toy.

and then there's this site which I'm not too sure what to think of yet... any takers?
