You are 9% geek | OK, so maybe you ain't a geek. You do, at least, show a bit of interest in the world around you. Either that, or you have enough of a sense of humor to pick some of the sillier answers on the test. Regardless, you're probably a pretty nifty, well-rounded person who gets along fine with people and can chat with just about anyone without fear of looking stupid or foolish or overly concerned with minutiae. God, I hate you. |

- so exhausted. and not in a positive physical way like my field job last year.
this is a morally and mentally exhausted sort of way.
oh, and monetarily. Apparently the cannot deduct my key deposit from my pay for the first month. argh!
Plus, two people didn't pick up their clothing, probably $100, that has to be paid (by me! with no money) to Subtitles very soon.
I am so exhausted. Four more days until the weekend!
But, on a happier note, I have keys to my office now! Woo hoo!
not that I can use my computer though, I have no identity on it, and I have no password, this is great.
and of course the volunteer computer doesn't have the documents or access I need to get to the important stuff like the web message board I am in charge of for moderation. This is great!

- On top of that, there's this brilliant quote from the paper:
The NPB suite consists of five kernels (EP, MG, FT, CG, IS) and three pseudo-applications (LU, SP, BY) programs.
By the way, Acronym Finder won't save me now.

- Ah, acronyms. The paper I'm reading right now is UPC Performance and Potential: A NPB Experimental Study. UPC = Unified Parallel C. That acronym is simple enough. NPB? Well, finally on page 11, they let me know that NPB stands for NAS Parallel Benchmarks.
...
(NAS, for those of you, like me, who are painfully ignorant of this obvious acronym, is Numerical Aerodynamic Simulation. Who developed this simulation? Why, NASA, of course. OMGWTFBBQ!)

You are 30% geek | You are a geek liaison, which means you go both ways. You can hang out with normal people or you can hang out with geeks which means you often have geeks as friends and/or have a job where you have to mediate between geeks and normal people. This is an important role and one of which you should be proud. In fact, you can make a good deal of money as a translator.
