actually ngz, most of the films on the list are not major studio releases. not to mention studio release doesnt' mean a damn, since even so called "independent" studios are often subsidiaries of major studios. i didn't include spellbound cuz it was not important enough to warrant the title of a great film. City of God would have made the list, but it came out last year. and well i loved finding nemo, but i can't knock elephant out

- Hirj, are you padding up your list with major studio releases just out of convenience or simply to play up to the idea of being the everyman's film critic? heh heh
there's some flicks i think you should have made some mentioning, namely:
Spellbound, directed by Jeffrey Blitz
City of God, directed by Fernando Meirelles
hell, even Finding Nemo, cause everybody loved the movie so.
however, i did notice the distinct absence of "The School of Rock", which is a decision i fully concur with.

- how can there be 7.2 head explosion related deaths?
that just doesn't work. No one can be 0.2 dead, can they?
I dont' think that's humanly possible.
oh, funny piece of information:
instead of learning any useful languages while going to school,
other than the obvious English,
my dad learned Esperanto, the official language of the United Nations... in the 70's
whatever happened to it? ... uh, guess I should read the link then...

nice list Taylor. my favourite nude scene is on the list-maria bello in the cooler (the movie to see if you wanna glimpse William H Macy's twig and berries). and is it just me or is meg ryan kinda saggy in that pic. at least there's no kathy bates in about schmidt this year.
