- why is it that when I want to type "work" in an e-mail, I end up with "bork" instead?
all your Swedish Chef speak is getting to me...
And... yes, I know very depressing, but somewhat true. Oftentimes, once a birdling has been touched by a human, the parents won't go near it (because of the scent). And... in the case of those poor ducklings, how could the mother have ever rescued them? They couldn't fly yet, and there was no way for her to get down there. So aside from standing hopelessly by, freaking out and watching her last little one fall in the grate, there was nothing she could do. Eventually, she would've had to have left them to make sure that her surviving little one did in fact survive. it's a cold, cruel world, but one in which survival of the fittest still matters. It's a shame though, that the mom is the one that led her little ones into the trap in the first place, all because it wasn't a problem for her.

*sigh* urban ducks have so many challenges to deal with... I love how there's a car bumper and exhaust pipe right there too. What I want to know is why the human taking the pictures didn't do anything about it before they all fell through. I'm sure those ducklings were just given up on and the mother left them... but then what do I know anyway?

Al, I validate my own existance. I don't need you to do it for me. If you are so desperate for acceptance that you try to get it from others by validating their existance, you're leaving yourself in a rather lonely and unfortunate position. We won't always be here to validate your tired lack of self-esteem. Learn to find acceptance from yourself. The rest falls into place after that.

And, since I'm probably the only person in the world using this version of the browser, FireFox 0.8 for the Mac OSX can handle any image it pleases.
