Not to be outdone, we Canadians have our own Ann Coulter, Ezra Levant.

Interestingly, he makes a reference to Bourque.org as a popular source of news. This comes from the fact that they got 3 million visits in the month of June. Well this site must be awesome. Out of a free university page, without advertising from Ezra Levant, we got nearly 4000 hits in June! Therefore, 4000 people must read this message board!

all you living near high-tension power lines, beware. As people have been saying for years, they're emitting energy... more energy than just that buzzing you hear too. This picture (and some of the work this guy does) looks at what high-tension power lines are doing to their environment. These flourescent tubes are being powered by the electromagnetic field generated by the powerlines above.

for more, check here for more on the guy. he works in neon and flourescent lighting a lot

Phew. That was a close one. I'm glad they threw that last line in; I would have been worried for weeks.

I think I'm experiencing the inverse temperature principle: the warmer it gets outside, the colder they make the basement. Fuck I'm freezing. I need my fleece down here. I suppose it's better than hot. Maybe I'll get some work done... but all I really want to do is sleep. And I dressed for the outdoors today, not the indoors.

mmm... sleep who else watched the storms last night? They were spectacular, but didn't cool the house down enough to make sleeping alright. And then my dad went on a tirade this morning closing and locking all the windows so that no one could break in... well fuck. Our house is going to be a furnace. and who would want to break into our house anyway? there isn't much to steal.

And, Taylor, I vote nay mostly because I don't want any more bomb stuff... but also because you're using apostrophes inappropriately, and I just can't stand that.

damn it's hot here... I can't sleep at all.
So I'll let you know more about the camping thing.

It's a simple campground, each lot has a fire pit and a picnic table. There are outhouses dotted around. Each lot can hold 1-2 vehicles as well as a few tents (the site says max 8 people per lot) and costs $12 per night. Fire wood is provided, hopefully it is drier than last time I was there. It's a very nice lake, decent for diving, swimmable, and the surrounding woods are nice for hiking. What we would need to bring: transportation (obviously), tents, food, junk food, changes of clothes, stuff to do (boce ball, frisbee, etc.), and alcohol.
That's about all I can think of right now - I'll post if/when I think of something I forgot.

    from weezer.com

..as mentioned on thespecialgoodness.com recently, weez drummer Pat had a little re-aquainting of his own with original weezer bassist Matt Sharp, out at Rancho Wilson de la Suburbia. So finally, after quite a long time, both Rivers, Brian, and Pat have all re-connected with the Sharp man, which has gone a long way towards easing a few forehead wrinkles and setting old feelings straight. And to the many who have written in with their questions: no, there is no talk of Matt re-joining weezer. Everyone in the band is very happy with Scott and plan on working with him indefinitely as a full member. Meanwhile Matt is very happy with, and is focusing wholly on, his solo work and his collaborations with other artists (such as the excellent Goldenboy and, as some may recall, Rivers, a few months ago), and is currently planning his own touring to support his recently released (and very cool) solo acoustic album.

oh and voting is for chumps.
    rock the vote.
