    In an interview with AMBUSHTHENIGHT, Jake Bannon the lead singer of CONVERGE listed some of his favourite bands. Among them were Battles, which he described as being "Technical yet listen-able post everything"
    Now if high praise from the P. Diddy of Hardcore wasn't enough, peep this insane photo of after a Battles show

    I hate writing reports. I love surfing. Guess which I've been doing?

    The hyperlinking policy of the 2004 Olympics offical website states the following:
    In order to place a link embedded in copy interested parties should:

    a) Use the term ATHENS 2004 only, and no other term as the text referent

    b) Not associate the link with any image, esp. the ATHENS 2004 Emblem (see paragraph below)

    c) Send a request letter to the Internet Department stating:
    * Short description of site
    * Reason for linking
    * Unique URL containing the link (if no unique URL than just the main URL)
    * Publishing period
    * Contact point (e-mail address)

    Once the request has been mailed, interested parties can proceed to include the link and will only receive a response if ATHENS 2004 does not accept the link

    That doesn't even touch on their policy on linking to their images. I wonder what their policy is on quoting a part of their site, and then putting up a tiny URL link. In any case, it doesn't seem enforceable, or even within the realm of what the internet is about. If they want traffic, putting people through a request form isn't the way to get it. (Unless they want traffic to their absurd linking policy...)

    Oh, hey, and if you're looking for torrents, but don't want to *cough, cough* use too much bandwidth *cough, cough*, there's a number of sites that use this perl script to display the torrent information is a cleaner, lighter interface. Here's one example site: http://torrents.us.to/.

    Security Minister Tzachi Hanegbi forgot to add that it will also be cheaper not to have to feed those prisoners.

    Let's play "Find the non sequitur" (perhaps this link makes more sense in context), brought you you by this article:

    More than 1500 Palestinian prisoners in three Israeli jails launched their hunger strike on Sunday, and Palestinian groups say they expect the protest to spread to an estimated 7500 security prisoners in 22 jails.

    Okay. The nature of the prisoners is not described, but let's assume that they are in prison for suspected terrorism. (e.g. planning attacks, aiding attacks, standing next to someone who planned an attack, ...) I don't want to get into the precise circumstances of their imprisonment. Let's just boil it down to presumed 'terror' related individuals in jail, starting a hunger strike. Now, for the conclusion:

    At the weekend, Security Minister Tzachi Hanegbi said that to give in to the prisoners' demands would be to surrender to terrorism.

    Someone want to explain the conclusion to me? Perhaps they are 'terror suspects.' But what characteristic of a hunger strike is terrorism, exactly?
