Hey, like lots of flash? http://www.liquidgeneration.com/home.asp The news bits are pretty entertaining.

As for the debate, if there was one to begin with, you and I know you can't have a debate without a hook, and you can't have no hook with no beat. So don't complain about me not steppin in when you can't even step up. :P Now get me a cherry soda! BITCH!

You're doing a really shitty job of staying out of the debate.

Bah, bombed my computer and now I have brought it back stronger than ever. If only I could figure out how it all happened.

um... trying to stay out of this debate...

yeah, the reason Meagan did anything was because other people had brought it forward... and had it been any other councillor, she still would've done it. It has nothing to do with him and ECOS this summer, and everything to do with the number of surprised and alarmed women who found the post prior to Meagan and sought some way to act on it. Meagan just did the acting. I wish it had been someone else acting on it, because none of this would be clouded with extraneous politics, but you can't change things now, can you? Anyway, yes, the whole point was that he had a link to his blog from the SU web board, that numerous councillors discuss SU politics on the web board, and then continue those discussions on their personal web blogs, so by default, he is providing us (as students and SU members) with this information while acting/or associated as acting on behalf of his constituents etc. Had it not been linked, sure there still might have been an outcry, but not like this... that the SU website had a link directly to it really makes it available to everyone who's at all interested in seeing more about their councillors (whether or not he intended only for his friends to see it) and makes it fairly heinous. Also... nowhere on the page did he say anything about "what do you think about this" or "hey, I found this at www.... site, strange, huh?" etc. If he was seeking dialogue, he really didn't make that clear either.

But that's all I'm going to say. This is beyond me... has been from the beginning. I was in Winnipeg, Meagan was acting on her own personal time. There may be other people seeking their just desserts from it all, but it's not ECOS. I can honestly say Meagan wouldn't be doing this if it didn't mean something to her as her because she's been getting hate e-mail, and really poor treatment from people who were otherwise benign... so it hasn't exactly made her life easier. Anyway, that's it. If you want to get informed, check elsewhere, because really, I'm only here to make sure she's safe on the job, and that things get done for us... the rest is her business, and most of the Women's Centre too... but NOT ECOS.

I just thought I ought to set the record straight: I conform to NONE of your so-called "wings", nor am I sarcastic. With that being said, the whole lot of you are all assholes.

I hope my SU campaign goes well this year...

Jess, in convenient, linkable format, here's the song in question. (I don't trust the google cache to last long, so I made a copy...)

As for the rational, "to expose the degree to which sexism still exists in our society, and help create the awareness necessary to combat it," it seems pretty bullshitty, considering the post that followed it (pictures of women that would be little beyond Maxim's reach... ie. near-porn.) Mind you, a lot of stuff I put on this site (eg. logos on the left panel) seem pretty harsh unless you know me. They're not quite at the same level as the chloroform song, but even some of my posts seem pretty nutty if you don't realize that I am (a) a left-wing nut and (b) often sarcastic.

awwww yeeeeahhh!!! I've been hunting for a complete copy of A Manual Dexterity for like a week now with minimal luck. I can't believe the whole damn thing is up on the net just waiting for me to download!!! Swweeeeet find! Thanks for the link.

Yeah, I finally got a copy of the new T(I)NC album, but I got it off soulseek. I could only download like 90% of the album off of bit-torrent and then there was nobody to seed the rest. So I had a bunch of tracks that were all splices of every song. I didn't realize that until you have a full download that it won't play anything properly. Messed up.

Right now I'm just trying to get Buffalo Daughter's "pshychic" album which was only released in Japan. It's been out for like a year now, but it's fuckin IMPOSSIBLE to find. Every review I read about it says it's sensational. So I finally just said "fuck this, I NEED that album" and I got myself in a soulseek queue where I was the 350-somethingth person in line to download from the user. I've left my computer on for 2 days, and now I'm only 52nd in line. I predict by the end of tomorrow I shall FINALLY have a fuckin copy of that damn album!

These last few days I've got SO much good shit to listen to.
