Incidentally that John person (previous post, link to his site) enters these contest. No wonder his pictures are friggin good. Don't worry Grand Arms I'm sure at least one person out there will appreciate you.

I have a question for you... seeing as we now have a description of what IQ stands for and how 0 is "normal" how do the following make any sense? Honestly, unless you're above average by a bunch, you're considered "stupid" how does that make sense? Something's not right... am I? I could be reading this wrong, but the whole IQ bell curve had negatives on the left side of the curve, and positives on the right... so essentially if you're negative, you're below average, and if you're positive, you're above average... so how on earth do the following make sense? Am I reading the web page Beck cited wrongly? (oh, and the below is taken from the website in Beck's post)

Wechsler thought that it would be much more legitimate to base his classifications on the Probable Error (PE) so his classification was (6):

Classification / IQ Limits / Percent Included

    Very Superior / 128 and over / 2.2
    Superior / 120-127 / 6.7
    Bright Normal / 111-119 / 16.1
    Average / 91-110 / 50
    Dull Normal / 80-90 / 16.1
    Borderline / 66-79 / 6.7
    Defective / 65 and below / 2.2

Mental deficiency used to be more finely classified using the following technical terms that later began to be abused by the rest of society (5):

    IQ Range / Classification

    70-80 / Borderline deficiency
    50-69 / Moron
    20-49 / Imbecile
    below 20 / Idiot

These are now largely obsolete and mental deficiency is now generally called mental retardation.  The following is the currently used classification of retardation in the USA (5):

    IQ Range / Classification

    50-69 / Mild
    35-49 / Moderate
    20-34 / Severe
    below 20 / Profound

Moreover, "educable mentally retarded" is roughly equivalent to mild mental retardation, and "trainable" mentally retarded is roughly equivalent to moderate (5).  The DSM now requires an assessment of a person's adaptive functioning as an additional criterion for labeling someone retarded.  IQ is not enough.  Maybe the same sort of thing should be done for labeling somebody a genius.

Paras, I hate how this site won't let me space things adequately... the above were supposed to be tables, but I don't know how to do tables... so you'll have to bear with me on the dashes and lines... if the board allowed me to space things the way I had them formatted, there would be no problems, alas, not my fault.

Went surfing found this Mecha fan art Kinda reminds me of what Sean Lin used to draw like.

Definitly reminds me of something Sean would draw. Too bad he doesn't anymore.

Ok, quick debate thing. This is why people don't vote:
Schieffer : Next question to you, Senator Kerry... The minimum wage has been stuck at, what, $5.15 an hour now for about seven years. Is it time to raise it?

Kerry : (blah, blah, blah, minimum wage low, increasing minimum wage will give more spending money... basically, two minutes about wages)... I will fight tooth and nail to pass the minimum wage.

Bush : Actually, Mitch McConnell had a minimum wage plan that I supported that would have increased the minimum wage. But let me talk about what's really important for the worker you're referring to, and that's to make sure the education system works, is to make sure we raise standards. Listen, the No Child Left Behind Act is really a jobs act when you think about it. (followed by a minute of the No Child Left Behind Act)

What?? Methinks he missed a cue card?

There's something distressingly erotic about this.

And yeah, thanks guys. I personally think the model looks like shit, but he didn't even look at it. Apparently I got the job anyway. However, whether or not I'm just a volunteer or I'm actually being paid for my time is a matter that remains to be seen. I mean, I'll do the job either way but I'm seriously broke as fuck. Let's hope some mad bling comes of this!

Tay- That Medi-Bot is hot shit buddeh. Bravo! - It's especially perfect when you consider that it was your first time with that wild 3D program ... I think that job's in the motherfucking bag.

Beck- I told you I had to watch the Yellow Dart today right? If not, sorry I missed going to gym. I thought I had told you, but I now doubt my memory. Sorry about that.

    Lastly, two things. First:

Katamari Damacy rocks the god damn party.

Indeed, it is ruining my University career. "Fuck studying - I'm going to roll a bunch of crazy shit into a giant ball." It's that kind of thinking that leads to wasted Thanksgiving weekends. Anyway, check out this (Quicktime) Trailer to give it a necessary taste. - Best of all, there's an entire level devoted to picking up chicks. Literally. And it is total bliss.

Also, they have a couple of downloads so you can make 3D folded paper models of characters in the game:

Holy shit! - So, uh, who's got a colour printer? ... No, seriously!

Second: The Jehovah's Witnesses came round today. I'm still at a loss as to why. She discussed war in a most general and vague sense, suggesting God would soon fix things, citing that the meek would inherit the Earth. And I just listened, blocking the doorway with a bored stoicism, whilst my mom called out "Andrew, no!" - I also gave them my real first name, and I'm still reeling from the consequences that critical mistake may hold for my future. - I've since come to the conclusion that it is in everyone's best interest that I be incredibly rude to these people. The benefits, as you'll see, are tremendous: both parties would have a delicious little story to share. So, next time, I'll give them an experience they could recount to all of their friends: "And he just kept fondling himself, asking us 'Hey, where's your God now? Where's your God now?' I just couldn't stop crying."
