aw shit... I just noticed that the black one doesn't come with brakes. It's got no brake wires!

Unless of course it's got that pedal-backward braking system. That would be shit-hott. I would totally pimp that ride. I wonder if you can order it with a neon-orange flag and a handlebar basket too?

shit. I can't stop thinking about having one of those bikes now. The only TV shows I've seen lately have been about making choppers and cruising around in them. I saw this one where there was a bike-making competition between this one dude in miami and another guy in Montreal. The miami dude won, and it's true, his bike was better! But then the other day I watched Motorcycle Mania 3 on the discovery channel. It had Jesse James making 2 bikes; one for Kid Rock and one for himself. And then they rode those bad boys all the way down and through mexico. I keep seeing these badass motorcycles on TV and I just keep thinking "I just really, really wanna ride something that says 'fuck you' to everybody you pass by." I think that's the beauty of these new-skool choppers. They aren't the fastest bastards in the west, but they're just a big, gas-guzzling "fuck you" to everybody else, and that's an aesthetic I can appreciate. Now, not being anywhere close to the financial vicinity of buying a motorcylce, the Jeremy streetcruiser really gets me thinking...

But then again, I'm nowhere near THAT financial vicinity either. Man, I couldn't even afford to buy the $50 long-board wheels I saw down at whyte last week. Shit, man. It's over.

how appropriate that the "Jeremy" cruiser comes in two colour options: black, and LIME:

And besides the Rat Fink bike, the "Jeremy" is definitely the coolest bike that electra makes. I'm not even joking. Although I'm afraid to say I'd have to go with the black one though...

I didn't know that saving all those nuns trapped in an upside down bus inside a burning building
would get a bike named after me?!

I guess dreams do come true.

Fans and critics of the acclaimed Fahrenheit 9/11 will want to see this thoughtful and damning investigation of the U.S. administration.

U.S. MEDIA BLUES
Airing Monday October 25 at 10pm ET/PT
French filmmaker Yves Boisset asks what has happened to the combative nature of journalism in today's America? Have reporters covering the White House, until very recently, been acting more like stenographers than journalists? Has the American media turned into courtiers at the White House and the Pentagon?

U.S. Media Blues offers a provocative and often disturbing look at the current role of the print and electronic press in the context of the fiercely fought Presidential campaign.

Hey MARY, yeah i didn't go to the SOHO shorts today, but unfortunately i've got to work this Tues and will not be able to attend the second show..ahh whatevs. but if you end up going tell me how they are.

Lastly here's some recent record reviews/recommendations from the LISTEN gang. Burwash knows his stuff! and yeah...obviously this really only pertains to Taylor

*Blood Brothers - Crime - V2 - CD
- The best hardcore-spazz band on the planet returns with "Crimes." Schizophrenic noise jacked up by frenetic guitars and wickedly warbled vocals create a mind-blowing and non-conformist punk album that's so good it's criminal. Get your ROCK on.

*Boredoms - Seadrum/House Of Sun - Warner Bros. Japan - CD
- Japanese only release of the new Boredoms studio album! [no scheduled release in the US] "Shaking! Amazement! A Thundering Blast of Fresh Air! Tears of Gratitude! Astounding! It's been a long time since their last release back in 1998, but a new work under the name Boredoms has been completed! The members have individually been playing in innumerable other bands over an incredible range, but finally the real thing starts! With the Boredoms' following of hardcore fans not only in Japan but overseas as well, what type of album is coming? This is an album to look out for!"
