lame-o Paras. what about supporting your friends? jeeze... searching for kickbacks...

If I could roll my eyes on here, I would.

I mean, really, you don't see people going up to Sloan (for instance) and saying "I didn't really like your first album, but your stuff on this most recent album really rocks, d'you think I could trade in the one I don't like for this new rockin' one?" or "hey, dude, the first concert I ever saw you at really blew, can I trade you that ticket for a ticket to your upcoming show?"

Bands evolve, it's what they do, and as their friends, we have to be there for them... and not seek refunds on the money we spent to help them out (to pay for the cost of printing cds) a couple of years ago. I mean, it's not like this was money I lent to them to buy lunch... that I'd want back. This was different.

I'd say just d/l it and save your money for the LIME/LDF albums coming out in a month or two. That would be a much wiser investment.

Are you guys gonna have a trade-in for those of us who... uh... "invested" in that first cd? Or a discount for people who link to your site?

How nice...

So, cigarette smoking is down 7% (that is, the percentage of Canadians who smoke is down seven percent), while marijuana use is up 7% (once again, a percentage of Canadians who have used cannabis in the past year). Zero-sum?

The Wiki-Game as described at (where else?) wikipedia.

So Eric is showing Robert the same level of "humanity" he shows everyone else... I shouldn't put my sword in his face... that death is too good for him. I'll shiv him instead. I'll even make the shiv out of broken CD cases seeing how much he likes music more then people. I'll probally need 3 shivs to kill him the way I want to kill him. 1 to jab into that soft chachi/emo/punk/poser gut he has. Even if the blade snaps it won't matter because the blade will still be in, it'll probally fragment as well so he'll never be able to pull all the pieces out. Then I'll use the other two shivs as blades to cut him as he tries to run away... which shouldn't be for long as he'll probally lose enough blood to die. Eric you'll share something in common with those bums you despise so much, they'll find your body in a dark alley just like were they find bums.

Yeah, the cursive vinyl I got has extra stuff... and apparently the new converge record has some bonus stuff too. If better sound quality doesn't convince you enough, these days there's so many reasons to go vinyl it's not even funny. Besides bonus material, there's always the fact that a lot vinyl put out these days is done on special wax... which makes it look a bazillion times cooler than even the coolest compact discs. Speaking of that new converge record again, it's the raddest looking vinyl ever. It's clear with white splotches around the edges!!! See for yourself:

oh yeah... that other Arcade Fire album I have is called "Us Kids Know". I think it's almost better than "Funeral", though noticeably less produced.

i've sorta found some middle ground with the Arcade Fire- they're TOTALLY the talk of the town, and admittedly they've put out a pretty solid record, but i wasn't really blown away by any means. i kinda felt that a lot of their Montreal compatriots had already covered similar postrock ground. i do agree that a lot of people either love it or hate it, but i think that has a lot to do with the fact that it's such a hyped record.

if you want another RED vs BLUE State division, check out "Liars: They Were Wrong So We Drowned" that's definately one you'll like either like or hate and dismiss as just noise. also it's good listening material for Witchcraft and Occulteers as the record is all about witches- with titles such as "There's more Room on the Broom"
