what does Hilary Duff have to do with acclaimed director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Bjork's videos, including "Joga" and "Bachelorette," Foo Fighters "Everlong" and "Levi's "Drugstore" (1994), garnered the Lion D'Or at Cannes and is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most award-winning commercial of all time), and "wildly imaginative" screen writer Charlie Kaufman (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation).................

Hey Tony... guess what I purchased today? I found a copy of that Monty Python record that has a side "C" on it!!!
Today I also scored a copy of the Clockwork Orange soundtrack, an album of music played on the moog, and a live Scorpions 2-disc album from Japan! Each for one dollar, pilfered from the downtown Wee Book Inn. Not too bad a find eh?

Why, of course, the people don't want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship... voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country.

okay, so mostly kidding... as in the Sloan stuff etc. but I was serious about not having a problem supporting my friends' bands. I mean, honestly, the only way you get better is through experience, and if I have to support them (however little or much that is) while they grow into their optimal sound, so be it. I have no problem with that. Besides, I love hearing how awesome you all have become... whenever I have a life enough to get out.

Yeah, Mark from Blacklisted says I "have" to go to Cradle Of Filth and get drunk with him. But $35? I dunno.
And didn't I already post that Hollywood Ending show on here??? Maybe not. But I thought I did.

Tay, I don't have the apostrophe problem, but my sources inform me that it exists in IE. I'll get to it when I have easy access to that browser, but for now I just blame microsoft. Also, was this the picture?
I guess the sarcasm is hard to pick up on when it's followed by a dressing down about supporting your friends and not trading in your shitty Sloan CD for a good one. As for security, for Canadians, anyway, I didn't notice much difference in security between Edmonton's airport and the two I visited in the States. Apart from having to take my shoes off at security, and the warnings over the intercom about unattended baggage being destroyed, I didn't notice much difference at all. Not to say they haven't become a little overzealous since the September 2001, but it isn't as bad as we seem to think.
Oh, and that zoomquilt is fucking awesome.

you know I was being sarcastic too, right?
I love how useless computers and the internet are with the nuances of communication. and I fucking hate smileys, so what else was I supposed to do? I figured the rolling eyes statement more or less made it apparent... but perhaps not.
Hey Tay, d'you wanna 'burn' that old cd yourself? if you really really want to... I mean, I've seen cds shatter into hundreds of really sharp pieces and come flying at my face, but never burn... might be interesting... and... if you pour solvent on them, the finish melts away and you lose the cd too... learned that one while I painted four summers ago... four summers ago? holy shit. I don't like being this old. It's weird. and really, what's next? um, already got a degree, um... grad school? not just yet... work? I don't really want to... so what? I'm not at all interested in "settling down" hmm... travel! maybe.
But if the US starts fingerprinting everyone, man, it's going to make going some places REALLY difficult. fucking americans, I can't believe they feel that strongly about every single foreigner coming into their country (and I know, it's not all Americans, it's really their government, but ultimately the people voted for them... so really...). why don't they just close the borders? aside from my friends down there, I can find hundreds of more interesting people, adventures and destinations than any of those that exist in the states. plus I won't have to worry about living in the shadow of W.
