yeah, never talk to those "real" women...

um, so who keeps advertising a movie if it's no longer available for viewing? The Motorcycle Diaries ended its run on Tuesday, but the Journal sure as hell doesn't know that. grr.

Hey Beck and any of the other geek-nighters,

Do you guys have my gameboy? I'm pretty sure I lent it to you right? I'm just trying to track it down.

Also, I'll be selling a few games of mine soon, I'll let you guys know when I do.

Don't worry Par even in the future I come from there is still partisan politics. The only thing uniting us together are giant space monsters who wish to destroy the Earth.

And all this time I've been talking to Fake Women...

REAL Women of Canada (Realistic, Equal, Active, for Life) is a non-partisan, non-denominational organization of independent women.
...
Our objectives are as follows:
...
3. To promote, secure and defend legislation which upholds the Judeo-Christian understanding of marriage and family life.

Apparently "non-denominational" means "non-denominational within the Judeo-Christian ethos." Another little tidbit I shall tuck away for future reference...

I don't know how to get the double dot above the o, so there. And anyway, yeah, you're right, it's a really nitpicky error, I just wanted to point it out because to me it somehow changes the story... makes it more bizarre... versus the isotope turning into poison, which is what I thought you had originally said... and that's how it's been told to me the million other times people have told it too, so what could I do?

Actually, for the record, I did mention that the decayed isotope caused the release of the poison which killed the cat (although I may not have used the word 'seal'). And, while I'm being nitpicky, I'd also like to point out that it's Schrödinger's cat.

Bike theft demostrates bystander apathy (or, in one case, "bystander helping-the-thief-athy".)

as an aside to Leo, Paras and Andy... the book I'm reading (A Short History of Nearly Everything - by Bill Bryson) happened, by some weird chance, to discuss Shrodinger's Cat last night and you missed something from the story, Par. Not only is there a cat in the box with that radioactive isotope that we're not sure is degraded or not, but that radioactive isotope comprises the seal on a bottle containing a poison. ... So if the isotope degrades, the poison is let out and the cat dies, if the isotope doesn't degrade, we still have a cat. It wasn't actually the isotope or its degraded partner that killed the cat.
