What do you do when you realize that your brother is the biggest jerk in the whole entire world? Par you probally have a good answer for this. It was last night when I was overhearing my brother talk that I realized this. Apparently he has ditched all his old friends because he think they are "weak" or "pussies" or they do a "inferior" martial art. He thinks his way is the "manly" way of lifting weights and fighting. Well to tell you the truth he is the typical "flavour of the month" martial artist. Basically he does whatever is the fad right now and dumps everything that he has learned befroe thinking that it is inferior Right now he is doing Brazillian Jiu-jiutsu before that mixed martial arts, before that... and so on and so on. Where did he get such a fuck'n huge ego? He isn't really the strongest or biggest or the most skilled. Apparently he is a real dick in the gym, he makes fun of people for nothing and apparently he got into "fights" with several people. I don't know what his problem is. Sorry for ranting.

Unlike you guys my family doesn't belive in getting presents for each other. My dad gives a whole whack of money to each of us and we buy presents for ourselves. Birthday are another thing though. I have to find birthday presents for my family.

Oddly enough, one of the most intelligent statements that I've read in a long while is attributed to Johnny Knoxville:

"I hate intolerant people, and I hate people with too much tolerance. One is full of ignorance, the other is full of shit." (from Vice's "hate issue")

Al, to answer your question: the PSD format uses lossless compression. A BMP on the other hand uses no compression whatsoever. With that being said however, a PSD containing 100 layered images is still going to end up much larger than a single rasterized bitmap image no matter HOW good the PSD compression technology is. In the short run, PSDs are noticeably smaller than BMPs. In the long run though, they can potentially be infinitely larger.

1. Hahaha, shit Eric, you have no idea how close I was to buying that book for you as your Christmas gift today! I was looking at it in Chapter's on whyte and I was SO CLOSE to buying it. But I think the thing I got you instead is better. At least I hope it is. We'll see, we'll see...

2. I personally think that the Pitchfork top 50 list sucks my hairy balls. I guess it's appropriate that it's a 2004 list, because everything on there seems like yesterday's news; none of that music is particularly "cutting edge" in my opinion. I mean c'mon... sure modest mouse put out a great album, but they've been making similar-sounding albums that are just as strong for the last 8 years. Get with the times pitchfork, not with the trends. I think it's completely fucking unjust that neither Dillinger nor Converge were on there in spite of the fact that the biggest advances in music this year clearly happened in hardcore. But at the same time I can't help but gloat in an I-told-you-so kind of way when I predicted that the Go! Team was gonna be the indie-kid's go-to album by the end of the year. I SO called that, and all of you know it. heh heh

3. I think I've somehow transmogrified into a Christmas-gift-purchaser-extraordinaire. I knocked off 9 people on my list of 12 in about 5.5 hours today. And they're all fucking AWESOME gifts too. I've done SOOOO good this year (so far!). I can't wait to give this shit to everybody!!!

To Hong Kong authorities, they're dangerous. To lifers at a San Francisco Gifts warehouse, they're just something you throw in a trailer and lock unsuspecting people inside with.

PETA, Australia, farmers, and bleeding sheeps' behinds. The Fark headline writes itself.

And a compelling, time-wasting flash puzzle game: Moebius Syndrome.

Hey Tay how come scans I have for some pictures are bigger then the partially edited PSD I have? BMP are 10 meg in size, PSD are 4.1 megs. No change in picture size.
