THE DOOM YOU MUST RESPECT!

lyric dissection by sherms from the Stones Throw Msgbrd

quote from okayplayer;

"Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo!" That's a audio daily double
Rappers need to fall off just to save me the trouble"

The sound when someone selects a daily double in Jeopardy

is just before it he's saying:

"Metal face terrorist, claim responsibility,
Broken house-hold name usually said in hostility,
Ummm..."What is MF"? silly
I'd like to take "Mens to the Ends" for two milly..."

This lunatic is actually playing Jeopardy! with his own goddamned name. The answer is "Broken house-hold name usually said in hostility" (which would be Mothefucker), and like a contestant he answers "What is MF?", abbreviating motherfucker or Metal Faced. Then after he correctly answers, he's choosing the next category and amount he wants to "take": Mens to the Ends - $2,000,000."

drop some lyric references here if u got some u like.

Tucker Carlson and Crossfire no more:

I guess I come down more firmly in the Jon Stewart camp.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call schadenfreude.

I like how if you search for "fuck" within all comments by the author "par" that you get about 1 and a half pages worth of results. However, replace "par" with "nobody knows my face" and you get 7. heh heh

7 divided by 1.5 = I use the word "fuck" approximately 4.67 times more frequently than paras.

Ahhh, I love statistics.

Permalinks allow you to link to specific posts. This, I hope, will come in handy in referencing posts. Also, more importantly, it will help people link to important information (for example, Alison's post about Douglas Coupland is, I believe, the only source of information on line about how much that event costs. Now, google can actually link to that information.)

Actually, Percy, that is what I had in mind, but I'm not gonna do that tonight.

Also, some people expressed their concern at my somewhat profane remarks towards face earlier today. I would like to note that I have, in fact, sworn many times on this board (flying in the face of the censors). If you don't believe, well, this is why some computing scientist invented search. Of course, by virtue of knowing me, face would know that there was no animosity behind my somewhat overstated exclamation.

since my birthday is this weekend, i was thinking that a wicked party is some years overdue...so on friday night we, (that's me, and anyone else who wants to come), are going to halo. i would hope to be there by 10pm, so i'll aim to be earlier than that. if you don't know where halo is, i'm pretty sure that it's 106 st. and jasper ave.-at any rate, it's across the street from boston pizza on jasper ave. oh yeah, it'll likely cost you $5 to get in. so come, have a good time,..or don't.-who am i to tell you what to do?
