Par, something's gotta be up, because on my computer running XP, I uploaded 13gigs onto my iPod in about half an hour.

Perhaps I should have been clearer. Downloading everything (which, at this point is about 5 gigs) takes about 2 hours in Windows and 20 minutes in linux.

What do you mean downloading songs to the ipod takes 2 hours?

I saw AD's do it in seconds - and I'm not talking a single song either...

Finally, question from the floor: Why is it that downloading songs to my iPod via the USB interface takes 2 hours in Windows, but only 20 minutes in Linux? Not that I'm complaining, I'm just proud to have stepped to that next level of geekdom that involves compiling a new kernel.

I finally understand why Jap slasher flicks are so violent and disturbing. It is like me watching Ichi the Killer. I get so mentally scarred that I want to get my sense of normalcy again. So I then go and make a movie that is even more disturbing then the one that I watched. My sense of normalcy is then back to normal. Then someone else sees the movie I made and the process repeats itself. So this explains the large amount of mentally disturbed movies in Japanese cinema. Thank You for your time.
