jeremy, that was terrible. nothing like pinching a loaf to compare with paying back student debt...
oh hey, in the sort-of non-happy realm of thought, my Dad dropped a bit of a bombshell on me this morning... on our usual drive to the uni. They leave on their vacation (my folks) tomorrow morning, and so instead of the last minute reminder to get along with my brother or not destroy the house, it was this, "if anything should happen to Mom and me, you need to help your brother through this. He needs to finish school, and it would be a stressful time." hmm, great. Last thing I need to think about is my parents possibly dying while they're on vacation. and then he went through the whole, "don't sell the house immediately, but you probably won't need all those cars, so you can sell some of them" gee, great, Dad, what am I supposed to say to that?
So I asked the more practical... so, considering the likelihood (knock on wood) is fairly small that something like that will happen, what about the more possible problems of the furnace not working, or a water pipe breaking?
But WTF?

You know it's going to be a bad day when you pay your $5,000 student loan off and then you realize, wait, that's just my canada student loan, I still have my provincial one to go.
I does feel sort of good to get rid of that weight, like walking out of the bathroom after all you can eat fajitas at chilis.

Apparently, describing creativity as a "sort of integrative thought" also requires the sort of integrative thought that is commonly referred to as "creativity."
Is it too petty to submit this picture for a Fark photoshop? I mean, it is a pretty good 'crazy Ralph'.

I don't know anything about McSweeney's really, but if you promise me it's sweet and it's got graphic design... then yeah, I'm all over it. I'll go in.

Gleaned from McSweeney's:
- Rejection letters from Xavier's School of Exceptional Youth.
"Dear Sarah "Fan Girl" Williams,
We regret to inform you that you have not been selected as a member of this year's class. Being able to recite, verbatim, the lines from every Orlando Bloom movie, while impressive, is not technically a superpower. Also, the fact that you are prohibited by law from coming within 10 miles of Orlando Bloom might limit our team's scope of service. Thank you for your interest in Xavier's School of Exceptional Youth.
Sincerely,
Professor X - George W. Bush Quotations in Which the Words "God" or "The Almighty" or "The Almighty God" Are Replaced by Famous Names Chosen at Random From the '80s Edition of Trivial Pursuit.
