PARAS: READ THIS.

I hooked up my old computer and e-mailed the files for that internet project of mine to myself. In other words, I retrieved the files of the old engine off my old computer. I then uploaded the files to the net to see if you could run the engine on Firefox or whatever other browsers you have. It works fine for me on Internet Explorer... it should be interesting to see whether or not it works for you. Like I said... if it doesn't, I can always program a stand-alone browser... or we could bust our asses and figure out HOW to make it work in other browsers... if it's possible that is.

To work the engine, the controls are the arrow-keys on your num-pad. Make sure Num Lock is turned on. Key number 7 is the "action" button (ie: the B-button on a NES), and key number 5 just makes the character spin-around for some reason (I think I just threw that in there for fun). You should be able to toggle the TV on and off by standing next to it and pressing 7. You should also be able to move the chair around the room by pushing it (ie: walking into it).

Obviously, the engine could use a lot of work but it's a good starting point... and even though I forget half the code, I checked out the source and I actually documented it pretty good (which is a rarity for me. haha)

Let me know if the engine works for you and what you think. Feel free to look at the source, and go ahead and make improvements/modifications. Some of the code is unweildy at best. haha

Almost forgot: here's the link!

In history, it refers specifically to a period of papacy in the early tenth century, beginning with Pope Sergius III from 904 and ending with the death of Pope John XII in 963. During this period, the popes were under the influence of corrupt women (though not necessarily prostitutes), especially Theodora and her daughter, Marozia.

How bout a road trip down to Calgary anyways? Wreck havoc in another town, leave and never come back. That sounds like a fun reading week anyway you slice it.

Avi Lewis is coming to the U of A on March 2nd!!! Tickets are $10

I have a problem: that really awesome prof that I used to have a crush on is looking for grad students... in forest ecology! I really really don't know if I want to do a grad study right now but it's with Simon (not for any crush-related reason, honest!), and it's forest ecology! what am I to do? I think I'll e-mail him and see how things go from there...

coolest e-mail send-off ever (that i've received from the federal government)

"Thank you for helping the environment!"

And it wasn't even about strictly environmental issues... it was about U-Passes
though it still made my day.
