I think a more pertinent (and first-year-biology-course-level) difference would be that prokaryotic ribosomes roam free in the cell, whereas eukaryotic ribosomes are bound to the endoplasmic reticulum.

Hmm... I'm amazed that I still remember that. Especially so early in the morning.

The only difference I've ever known (or been required to know) is size. They have different sized subunits which I used to know... but now I don't. The eukaryotic one is bigger though I do remember that.

Does anyone know the difference between eukaryotic and prokaryotic ribosomes? I can't find it in my textbook.

Hmm, I still seem to not be done going through my bio notes.... I think I maybe shouldn't have gone to that horse show this weekend. Then I might be sleeping right now. Mmmmm, sleep.
