Ah, finally. Our paper has finally been published. Um... w00t.
Also, with regards to this. I wasn't going to comment on it, admittedly it's a pretty depressing story. What strikes me today, though, is the renewed sense of loss. And, as hokey as it may sound, the feeling that best describes it is that day after the Oilers get eliminated from the playoffs (the mathematical elimination, not the choking against Dallas elimination). You knew for months that it was coming, but you held out hope. You didn't care until the last minute, and there was hope until the end before it got stolen away from you.
And afterwards, there's this bitterness. If only the had started their run earlier. If they worked harder earlier in the season, would we be stuck with nothing now? If they hadn't sat on their hands for the entire months of November and December, wasting countless opportunities for progress, we'd be watching hockey that matters. Most of all though, the fault for there being no hockey rests in the hands of super-rich players on other teams, and super-rich owners that will buy those players and squeeze out our beloved team.

Sweet, that sounds rad. If I ever make a transatlantic trip I'm going to listen to Transatlantacism from lift-off to touch-down. It somehow sounds like the appropriate thing to do.

Hey all I made it here ok.
A word of advice for anyone planning a transatlantic trip - go Scandinavia Air!
I took an airbus from Chicago to Copenhagen and damn, I thought I was in first class. The economy class was roomy, had a touch screen tv in the back of the chair in front where you could watch any of about 12 different movies, listen to a bunch of radio stations, surf the internet (for a fee) look through cameras mounted facing forward and down from the plane, or play video games on the built in console. There was a NES like controller built in which also doubled as a pay phone so you could call people from the plane. And this was the economy seating!
Go Airbus!
So yeah, me here, safe, happy...
Oh, and Par, the posting form didn't work on index2 from Keri's new laptop - IE6 SP2
Later!
