Wild Tangerine Cucina Domestica – Edmonton
Hip and funky are the two words that come to mind when you enter this newly-opened downtown
eatery, which also offers take-out. Tiled walls of black and white, with dabs of orange and glass
add to the tiny eatery’s atmosphere. But the artistry doesn’t stop there. Creative appetizers like
the grilled five-spice octopus salad, and shrimp lollipops with wasabi yogurt are presented in an
eye-catching,, imaginative way. Rave reviews for the red curry mussels with linguine and the
marsala-spiced lamb continue to pour in. North American staples like french fries and homemade
ketchup get the Tangerine-touch with the addition of star anise. Asked why, owner Wilson Wu
only smiles, “When you cook with love and respect, you can always make it better.”

Um, yeah. Apparently the Publik is closed. Too communist. We can go to Overtime instead (the one right next to the library, right near the Publik). Same time and date (8:30, Friday).
