i don't know what it is with me and foreign films as of late, but I'm going to go to the 7pm showing of Bad Education (imdb site here) tomorrow evening at the Garneau. If anyone is interested, feel free to join me. I think it's $7 for students. There's another movie done by the same director: All About My Mother (IMDB again) that's also really worth looking at.
I've got to do something fun over reading week, so it's watching foreign films...
... yeah, I'm a little odd...

While on the topic of welsh pronounciations, there is no better one to ask than a welshman himself... and I do seem to recall the W in welsh is said in northern french like two "o"'s
but in the south, I do believe it sounds more like "fuck you paras"... no wait "tubgirl" no... arrrgh, danm you tubgirl in all of your glory, isn't that right P?

I'm just trying to convince some female friends that it's okay to go through with it, and that it's not the end of the world... but it would be nice if men had to endure something similar. .... for the sheer fact of equivalence if nothing else.

Alison, are you asking about the prostate exam (the infamous 'white glove' test)? If so, I'm pretty sure they aren't usually done until later in life, and generally when the risk of prostate cancer is higher (which is generally a combination of factors including heredity).
But thanks for bringing that up. Along the same lines: "Hey Andy! Nickelback!", and, "Hey [Jere, Percy, etc.]! Tubgirl!"
Yeah, Al, I'll be there.

BECK: yeah i can hold onto that video for you. it's a pretty interesting watch.
In Welsh the "W" is actually two "U's" , as in Double the U.

my F1 button does nothing.
hey, do guys have to start having proctology exams once they're 18? or is that something purely held for once you're over 40? I'm really just wondering if there's an equivalent to the hell that women have to go through with every gynecological exam from the time they're sexually active/18. you wouldn't believe how worked up people get over it. and it sucks.
