Gotta love the National Film Board. First they brought us logdrivers. Now, they've put up the Canadian shorts that are nominated for Oscars (well, a preview of one, but the full length animated short.)

Full page smallman records ad in this month's issue of VICE, featuring none other than the upcoming album from local rockers CHOKE!!!

And one page up from that is an ad for the new MARS VOLTA album. Looks like some 780-scene representation is being put in good company. Did I mention that Our Mercury recently signed to Smallman Records as well? Did I mention that Choke is gonna be on the cover of Exclaim!? Oh wait, I did... but did I mention that that's the first local band to grace the cover of this nationally distributed paper? I don't think I did.

Be excited.
