smartass.

it's the principle of the thing, not the knowledge of it. maybe I'm being entirely hypocritical, but knowing that fact outside of the album doesn't really do me much good. I don't need to know where Merseyside is, I just like it to be in the liner notes... like "recorded at grant ave studio, hamilton, ont." or whatever... it's just nice to know the genesis of the album... in the context of the album... it gives it a place in time. ... or maybe I'm romanticizing too much...

If only there were some global repositor

Screw the sarcasm. Here's the answer for the curious. You're close, though, Tony.

That wasn't a year ago, it was only last October that Gomez came to Red's.

But I know what you mean, since I like to see those little bits of info and such in there, too, like guest musicians, where it was made etc., and they hardly had anything in there.

Also, Merseyside is likely in or around Liverpool.

you know, I really like reading liner notes on albums. no idea why, but I'm disappointed when there's next to nothing to read. Like Gomez's album Bring It On ... yeah, I know, I'm only, what, 7 years behind on this, but anyway, it's got a lovely little book of paintings... and absolutely no liner notes. Just what's printed on the back... which doesn't even say where it was recorded... okay, I guess it does, but there's no real detail... just Merseyside which could be anywhere for all I know. I like knowing the country/city, and all that stuff. Anyway, where was I going with this? 7 years after the fact, this album is still pretty hot stuff. I've enjoyed Tijuana Lady for years, but it's always nice to get the fuller context of a song within its album. hmm... perhaps I should've joined you all when they came to town a year ago...

nice boobies, Taylor
