um... I think I meant "highly" instead of "hardly" but at this moment, my mental functions lack any clarity whatsoever... so much so that it's taking me a really long time to type this... without spelling mistakes.
man, go to a rock show and what do you get? smoky bar voice. it's not even sexy this time, just loud, rough and old-hag-like. grr. but I got to see Todd Kerns and Gordie Johnson. ooo! It was pretty fuckin' awesome, though it's been a horridly long time since I was at one of these... mmm Todd Kerns. so good. And Gordie, well, his guitar is phenomenal. his lyrics suck. I don't know what he's thinking. You can't have a song where the only words are "she may be white/ she may be black/ it doesn't matter to me" that's not a song. that's a string of words to suggest that you'll sleep with anyone. So, while I enjoyed myself, I continually thought that the rest of the audience was deluded for thinking that rock gods are geniuses. because, damn, those lyrics are crap. (yeah, I know, for good lyrics, I shouldn't be looking at rock, but still, I was disappointed.)

"A Japanese company by the unfortunate name of tmsuk has just announced the world's largest robot capable of carrying a person - the 3.5m tall, 5 ton T52 Enryu HyperRescueRobot. Their product site is in Japanese, but here's a few fun facts: it's 10m wide with its arms fully outstretched, is powered by an onboard water-cooled three cylinder direct injection diesel engine, has a maximum speed of 3Km/h, and carries seven 680,000-pixel CCD cameras with a separate monitor for each camera. If no whiny 14-year-olds are available to pilot it, it can be remotely controlled (with a dummy plug in the cockpit, presumably)."

No I am not a otaku for mecha :( I'm way down on the totem pole. Remeber it isn't what you do it it's what you don't do that pisses everyone off. If you spend time say playing videogames, and you don't bathe, clean your room, or eat that will piss everyone off rather then that you play video games. Well that is my interpretation of things.

I don't think it is the games you play (D and D or video games) but how obsessed you are with it. The japanese have a term for the uber obsessed it is Otaku. A Otaku basically waste their whole time looking for information and anything they can get on a paticular subject. In japan it is okay to play games or even dress up as characters form anime or video games. However when you start obsessing about it and can't think of anything else then it isn't okay. You can be a otaku of anything, they seem to have a disgust for a person uber obsessed with something rather then what they are obsessed about. When you become an otaku then you lose functionality because you can't concentrate on your job. I don't know if this adds anything new to this little discussion you guys are having but maybe.
