Al- yes, women are the machinations of destruction.

Percy- I have confidence you will find whatever it is you search for.

The rest of you- why has no one commented on that photo I posted? Not the one of me... the one before that. Maybe you all oughta look at it again.

Is this girl the "machination of destruction"? You know if you swore yourself off women then your problems would be solved Tay.

Of course - *the* right light implies there is one true way to see everything, whereas I at least tend to imagine the world as a place of few objective realities, and many differing subjective realities. That's just me though.

See you all next week - I am going to hand in a lab report and then I am off to Calgary to pursue fame and fortune (or at least bragging rights and maybe enough cash to maybe possibly cover the cost of entering the show....)

You know, I've mulled it over, tossed back and forth between the two ideas, read through some of my own posts, and I've come to the conclusion that, yes, I should indeed take offense to the implication that I (try to) manipulate people with what I write.

I mean, I'm sarcastic, make vain attempts at witticism, provide links, and ask opinions, but I don't think I've ever (actively) attempted to manipulate people. Granted, what I write is meant to be taken in a certain way and, is written with the assumption that the people reading know me. On the other hand, I don't think I mess with people; my intentions are generally pretty clear (from being informative to general mockery.) (By all means, though, prove me wrong. That's what those little link buttons are for.)

well I guess you'll just never know now will you? muahaha! ;)

come on, everything anyone says is directed in a certain way. That's the way things go. Of course I've manipulated people through my posts (or at least tried to) that's just how it is. (and don't say you're not guilty of the same, Paras) or have i just become too cynical and jaded to see things in the right light anymore?

Actually, alison I'm way ahead of you. I already did that. I wrote a subtle suggestion of something I'd like to receive which she could easily do to impress me (which I think she's been trying to do for the last few weeks), but which could also be something that would seem like an idea she could come up with on her own. The trick of the matter is implying things you would like done without it being overly obvious that it was an idea which was read in my journal. That way, she's very likely to do it becase she feels safe in the fact that she won't blow her cover, even though she totally already has (but she'll never know that).

I'm so evil.

Suddenly, alison, you've placed everything you've ever written on this board in a whole new light.

Ok, this came up yesterday, and it would be nice to get some clarification. Potboiler: was this a joke or a serious suggestion? Admittedly, it's kind of witty (one of those laugh-at-ourselves inside jokes), but, not knowing how you guys want to present yourself, I'm not sure it comes off as being that clever, even if you do know what it means. That being said, I obviously have no business naming things to begin with.

I don't think they make dessert out of these beans, Percy. They're just regular old green beans like you grow in the garden on vines (like peas). Common in dishes like caseroles and soups, and just plain delicious by themselves. I don't get it... I love green beans... I'll just have to eat them really well cooked I guess.

Taylor, I think you ought to start leaving bizarre comments there that you don't say anywhere else and just see what happens.... something that'll really stick out, and that you'll definitely notice is different from what the girl would typically say otherwise... then not only do you know what she knows, but you'll be manipulating her on top of it. (or is that just something i would do?)
