This is why you pay attention to the names of all the authors of the papers you read. We have a Distinguished Lecture tomorrow from Dr. Henri Bal. I'm meeting with him tomorrow for about half an hour (with, of course, no idea about what I'm going to discuss with him). He just came into the lab, though, and it turns out he was the second author on the paper that pretty much defined the work I did last summer.
Well, at least I have something to talk to him about...

Well finished another Grand Arms. This one is called Blitzmeister (Second generation like Panzerfaust and Faust.), it is the fastest Grand Arms unit ever made. It does this without having to pause time or teleport, so it is the fastest real speed unit.
This is the blitzmeister with all its kit. You'll notice the Blitz Rifle in its right hand and a slot for the Panzer Blade on its left arm.
This is Blitz mode where all the armor is ejected off. I originally planned to have Blitz ditch its rifle because it could run into its own rounds because it was so fast. This didn't make sense, because the rounds travelled so fast that it could never catch up no matter how fast it accelerated and if it did accelerate fast enough, wouldn't it shoot the rounds at this speed? It made more sense to ditch it due to the weight of the rifle. It is a large rifle so it must weight a considerable amount. So you may ask:what good is a mode where the mecha can move extremly fast but has no armor? The answer is in the Positron cannon in the chest. The type is a Sheild Positron Cannon. It is a defensive system which unlike a normal positron cannon doesn't fire a blast of energy to anihilate the enemy but forms a 180 degree energy sheild in front. In Titan mode it uses this positron cannon to ram and destroy enemies in a kamikaze attack. But not so since the positron cannon protects better then even a Giga Magnetic torroid sheild system. It can then ram any target at will. Add in even faster speed when converted to blitz mode and you have a Grand Arms unit which can perform devestating hit and run tactics against a enemy who can't even hit it.
A picture with the two modes side by side for comparison.

Did anyone watch the Newsroom tonight? I started about five minutes in, and I have no idea what happened there.
