It's official. the pope est mort.
Though I'm not Catholic and despite having made some less-than-respectful comic strips of his position in the past, I must say I was nonetheless impressed by his determiniation to carry out his job till the end.

Note about google: There is no conspiracy, alison. There is no top-down control of results. Everything is ranked automagically, based on the number of links to a given page. If people link to Banana Republic and include the word 'banana' in the link, Banana Republic's ranking increases. (More here.) It's one of those AI things that I know how works, but still amazes me with its bottom-up nature.
Oh, and Anish actually has one of those Banana Guards... and is ridiculously proud of it.
So I read this Trailer Review for the new Wonder Twins movie, and the whole way down, I'm thinking "You're joking." Every single detail (for example, that it stars David Schwimmer), my first thought is "you're joking." Then I get to the bottom, read the recommendation for whether people should see the movie ("Yes (paid commercial announcement)") and thought "Oh... you're joking." It disturbs me about Hollywood that I believed this movie was being made, because it's not the most ridiculous movie out now.

props to that, Al. It sounds like your project is becoming full-fledgedly kick-ass. Way to do!
Case-in-point: no problem is too great that a little imbibing can't fix!
