Hey, I hear the Daleks are gonna be on Dr.Who... I guess I should download all the episodes so far and catch up with the series.
On a side note... the desktop background in that comic that Beck posted (Chugworth Academy) the characters are from an anime called Naruto... something both my project members from Bioinfo were watching and now Im hooked on it too.

For those of you who missed it the first time around, I found a higher-quality version of that crazy robot-dancing kid:
robot dancing video
And is if that couldn't get any better, I did some research and found ANOTHER video of that kid, taken 2 years AFTER the first video!!!
ROBOT KID2!!!!
EDIT: I also found out that the robot-kids' stage-name is DAVID ELSEWHERE and he did most of the body shots for this car commercial where they spliced gene kelley's face over him:
David Elsewhere as Gene Kelly in SINGING IN THE RAIN
AND ANOTHER EDIT:
Interview with David Elsewhere.
THIS IS THE LAST EDIT, I SWEAR:
I found a new music video that just came out in Japan... though it hasn't been credited yet, it's once again very likely David "Elswhere" Bernel's doing. The film crew is the same crew who did that gene-kelly car commercial.
Video for "Late At Night".

The knee is slowly getting better. I've moved from throwing myself from support to support to move around the house, to being able to actually hobble around. (I'm not sure whether this is just a combination of ibuprofen and ice, or whether the reduction of the swelling is helping, though.)

So, a few years ago, I watched Superman II for the first time. Basic plot: to marry Lois, Superman has to give up his powers (which he does in the Fortress of Solitude, which is located in Antarctica.) Unfortunately, Kryptonian supervillains threaten the Earth, and Superman has to get his powers back to defeat them.
At the time, I missed what I thought was a crucial scene: how he gets back to his Fortress of Solitude in order to get back his powers. "Through what mystical means," I wondered, "could he possibly make his way back there if he has no super powers? Surely the cold and long journey would kill him."
Fortunately for me, the movie was on Space today. I managed to survive the horribly bad movie up to the point where Superman decides to regain his powers (it's shortly after he's beaten up for trying to defend Lois' honour, and right after the President of the US cedes power to the Kryptonian supervillains.) "Finally," I think, "I'll be able to find out the terrible, wonderful secret of how he gets to the Fortress."
And what happens? Fuck all! He walks out wearing just a jacket; no hat, no gloves, nothing. They show one scene of him walking along a road in a snowstorm, trying to hitchhike, but getting passed by a truck. They show a scene of him walking in a frozen tundra. And then a scene of him getting to the Fortress of Solitude. In Ant-fucking-arctica! (Ok, slight disclaimer. They don't actually say where it is in the movie. It is, however, definitely in the middle of a vast expanse of cold-ness.)
Someone want to explain to me, after this shoddy, logical nightmare of a movie (I mean, in one scene, he reflects the villains' heat rays with a mirror! If it's that simple, how come no one does that to him? They have the same powers), how it was a good idea to make two more of these movies?
