uh... no comment...
I have an interesting proposition for anyone on here to think about. I need to get to the university Friday morning by 8am ish so that I can leave for Lac La Biche. It involves me packing a whole bunch of gear along to the uni, but then leaving for a month... so I don't want to drive my own car - ugh, a month of parking tickets? eww... but my entire family will have disappeared to the rockies/sylvan lake area. So, my proposition is mostly that I need a ride, but there may be interesting perks if anyone is actually willing to do this... (and no, not in a 'friends with benefits' sort of way). If no one can, I can probably get a ride with my boss, but he'll likely be going at some ungodly hour far before 8, so I've turned to you all to see if I have a second option. Please e-mail me if you can!

Maybe the Simpsons are getting a 2nd wind... (or 3rd, 4rth, 5th... who knows, they've been on a long time). I thought the "Scratch Bob Itch Pants" from the last episode was pretty funny.

AL: Well, it's not really what I wanted/planned to do FOR my birthday, but yeah I want to do it, and yeah it's on my birthday, so uh... I dunno. I mean, playing 2 shows is totally cool and playing with my bands is probably like one of my favourite things to do... but at the same time getting 2 bands worth of gear to a show and back twice (and setting it up and taking it down and soundchecking and everything) doesn't leave much time for me to enjoy my birthday, y'know? I could use some time to chill. So I guess maybe I could do something specifically for my birthday later, but I hadn't really planned on anything. Originally I was hoping to go skateboarding all day with the guys in my band and the guys in this other band called Stillframe and then after that whoever wanted to meet up with us could meet for dinner at sushi. But I'll try and put together something along those lines at a later date maybe.

This is disquieting:
Mr. Groening, in spite of his own hints in previous interviews that the show might be running its course, has found a second wind. "I think the show has almost reached its halfway point, which means another 17 years," he said - and this of a show that is already the longest running now on television.

I'm all about the animal photos these days, what can I say?
Speaking of animals, there's room for all of God's creatures...

I fixed the link to that car commercial where they super-imposed Gene Kelly's face onto David Elsewhere's body so that he pops and locks for the classic "singing in the rain" sequence. You can click the link in the original message and it'll work now, or else you can just get it here. That David Elsewhere is one crazy fuckin dancer.
