Too bad reading that review was about as unbearable as he tries to make out the Mars Volta album to be. I still contend that in another 8 months it will retain its title as one of the best albums to be released this year. In fact, I like the album so much that I've gone a good month and a half without buying it... just so that I can get it on vinyl. Which if I'm not mistaken should be out...tomorrow? I need to look into that in case I have to haul jet to blackbyrd come tommorow. I NEEDS this album.

A few months ago, face raved about the new Mars Volta. Now in the spirit of being balanced:
Right now, you’re reading this on the Internet, which means you’re a nerd. Since you’re a nerd, there is a significant chance that you like The Mars Volta, which would make you a nerd with terrible taste. Furthermore, if you’re reading this, if you like The Mars Volta, and if you’re wearing a stupid hat, you’re a nerd with bad taste and a stupid hat. Anyway, The Mars Volta put out their sophomore record recently, an irritating slurry of noise and half-tunes called “Frances The Mute.” Some people think it’s dull, overwrought, pretentious crap, but some people think it’s a work of prog-rock genius. I would contend that there’s no difference between the two.

Hey Jere... don't forget to send those birthday photos when you upload them to your computer. There were some pretty good shots on there from what I saw.
