I noticed that Paras picked up on that Fifth Estate piece on Fox news. I didn't think that anyone here had noticed it. It got quite a bit of attention back when it was aired in January. Not to mention that the CBC has aired it several times since then - Which some would say is enough evidence to reveal some sort of CBC anti-american (or at least anti-fox) stance. Although I think a lot of attention for the show came from Americans who enjoyed watching Ann Coulter blurt out something that made her look stupider than usual.

Anyways, the CBC doesn't link (Fifth Estate site) to Ann's response. (I used to have all these freaking video's downloaded back when it was all happening...but all I can find are transcripts online)

Also, the CBC edits the Bill O'Reilly response on that Fifth Estate site with their own commentary... the best video clip I could find of the real O'Reilly Factor response is here (but even this one is edited) Once again... I had the original video's but I can't find then online anymore. Bill and Rachel Marsden talk a bit about how CBC has barely any viewership and isn't influencial in the lives of Canadians... basically just bad mouth the CBC. Apparently Bill has invited the host of Fifth Estate to be on the O'Rielly Factor and visa versa... no takers on either side.

As for other stuff that probably contributed towards the 'stand-off-ish-ness'... the video at this link looks a little at Ann Coulter and Tucker Carlson bad mouthing Canada back when Bush visted Eastern canada last year. (Includes guest appearances by Carolyn Parrish!!!)

Oh, and I know how lots of you folks are Tucker Carlson fans... so here is a link with him 'chatting' with Jon Stewart. Is Crossfire still on? I generally don't expose myself to the american media unless it makes it's way into the Canadian scene (ie most of the topic of this post). You kids with cable, or the ones that watch the Daily show would probably be able to tell me.
