I saw Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy just now... it's not too bad. It's pretty okay. But I must say, the girl who plays Trillian is totally cute in a non-hollywood-glamorous kinda way. I like her. She's just really "girly" (for lack of a better word), and it's totally cute.

Oh, just out of curiousity, and related to Monte's blog, has anyone here ever said that someone has "more guts than Gainers"?

As we like to say in Alberta Paul Martin, "has more guts than Gainers". (Gainers being a now defunct slaughterhouse in Edmonton. Kinda makes it less amusing when you have to explain it, doesn't it?)

Who's Nuff?

Monte's Blog! The revolution will be partisan-hacked!!

I mean, I suppose it's good that we get a 'sneak peek' at what happens at the House of Commons, but this is pretty useless info. What have we gleaned from Monte's brilliant information here? That he writes "non confidence" when he means "not non confidence"? That he disapproves of the Liberals' grip on our 'pocketnooks'?

Perhaps we've learned that, instead of taking care of parliamentary business (in both the broad sense of running government, and in the specific case here), he's dicking around on his fucking Blackberry?

...
All right, I'll shut up now.

That is so true about the 20 roll! In almost all role playing games I have come across the hardest roll (whatever the highest number you can roll) always results in a clear hit no matter what. Conversly a roll of 1 is always a clear miss. It's the odds of ever rolling these numbers which make these rules come into effect. Known as the "all or nothing" rule. This rule is in Gurp, Rift (various incarnations), Mekaton, D and D, Warhammer 40k and various other RPGs. Just decided to add a little character.
