I made a crappy flash animation in 30 minutes. I will save myself the embarrassment and not show it. Suffice it to say I'm getting the hang of it. Now I have to create a massive library of images, mecha parts, movie clips, background scenery and sound files. I think this will take a while.

Death From Above 1979 Plan Three New Albums
Caroline Bermudez reports:
Posting on Death From Above 1979's official message board, bassist Jesse F. Keeler wrote that they will record an as-yet-untitled album this summer and fall, and expect to complete it before the end of the year for a release in spring 2006. Hot damn! An album with songs and everything!
Wait, that wasn't the impressive part. Here's what's cool: During the recording sessions the band and their cohorts will also produce two additional versions of the album. Says Keeler: "Sebastien [Grainger, DFA 1979's singer and drummer] is getting a band together...a normal band with guitars, keys, bass, etc. and they will record an alternate version of the album. i cant wait to hear it."
Then the remix team of MSTRKRFT, Keeler, and Al-P of Girls Are Short (who produced You're a Woman, I'm a Machine) will make a second alternate version with all-female band Loveheart on vocal duties. Keeler describes the planned approach to the songs on this third pass through them as "more like covers with different arrangements."
But as for the release of all this extra material, no firm plans have been made; Keeler says they might put both alternate versions out as a double CD, edit it down to one 12", or whatever else strikes their fancy (and, presumably, their record company's). Whatever happens, Keeler assures fans that all of MSTRKRFT's output will be available online if it doesn't appear on CD or vinyl.

Did my first motion tween. Doesn't seem so bad anymore. Now I need to create a whole library of objects to import. This means more drawing for me to do. Well back to the drawing board as they say.

Strange went to newgrounds.com and saw a flash movie called "The Big Fat Flash Tutorial". That really help put everything into focus. Can't see when I'll finish my flash animation but it doesn't seem that hard anymore.
