Awyea, I did it again. Remember how I thought I missed the final for that one class (intercultural communication)? But then it turned out it was a take-home exam and I didn't know it, AND it was already due? And remember how I handed in both the final assignment AND the take-home exam LATE? Not to mention I opted out of 20% of my marks by not doing one of the assignments... well anyway, I FINALLY got the mark back for that class and it's my highest mark for that whole semester! I don't even know how that's possible, hahahaha. Check and mate, muthafukkaz!

Sounds like the only thing I really missed out on at Coachella was Z-Trip. I've heard from a few sources now that he was fuckin fantastic. Shit man, I have an old mix tape that I made in jr. high which featured my favourite songs off Leorna Cornfeld's old CBC show and Z-Trip was smashed somewhere in-between Mansun, Lamb, and the Boredoms... but his remix of Sweet Emotion held it's own amidst those other amazing tracks. He did this crazy pitch-shift thing on the "sweeeeeeeeeet" part and it sounded so fuckin rad. I should've went to see him when he came to Edmonton a year or two ago. But I didn't really want to go by myself... it's one thing to go to a punk show by myself, but I'm no hip-hop head.

Hey, I'm no hater. I just happen to like Mcenroe and the Beastie Boys. Doesn't mean I only like white hip-hop.
BTW- do you have any Eshod Ibn Wyza traxxx??? I wanna get summa their stuff... but do they even really have an official recording out?

Arrested Development back for another season.
(Of course, the same article discusses the WB's plans to give Freddie Prinze Jr. a sitcom, so it's not all good news.)

Consider this morsel of information sent in by Calgarian William C. Macdonell.
"Albertans have the right to cast a vote that is approximately one-quarter as important as P.E.I.," said Macdonell.
"That means that anyone who votes in P.E.I. is casting a vote that's worth almost five times the vote of an Albertan."
P.E.I., which has a population of 113,000 has five seats with an average number of constituents being 22,600.
The democratic imbalance to Alberta is 79%!
Anyone follow that? No? Good. I wish I could say this was clarified in the article, but it's not.

Bad Movie Night!!!! The Crime: Cat in the Hat The Time: Tonight, 8PM The Scene: Paras' House A score of 20 on Metacritic can't be wrong! "It pains me to tell you, But really, it's true: The Cat in the Hat Is a piece of dog doo." "I do hate to say it -- it's really a drag, but why did they let this Cat out of the bag?" "Critics are paid to suffer bad art, no matter how icky it is from the start. So all we could do was to Sit! Sit! Sit! Sit! And we did not like it. Not one little bit." |
