On further inspection of the code Paras, I think you're missing an "end-div" tag... but let me fool around with it for a sec and see if that fixes it.
edit: nope, wait... that's not it.

I hate finding jap mecha sites. Those guys have too much talent for the average mecha designer to match up to.
Windfall
Click on a thumb nail to see what I mean. I won't stop making Grand Arms it is just that there are people out there with too much talent.

hmm, paras: it looks to me like the div tags are expanding to large images just fine...?
Also, I'm not sure what you mean about the banner at the top, but if you add a width attribute of the img with src banner1.png to width=54%, it ends up being as close to proportional as it can get.
I'm not sure what else you're looking for... I don't think I understand you clearly, actually.
Also: is the difference between the top and bottom message just that the oversized image is resized? If so, it looks like it's working fine to me.

Those guys did a pretty sweet job of re-designing your mechs. They must be pretty damned impressed by your designs to spend the time to do that! That's awesome.

In other news I might just hire people out to help me finish Grand Arms.
Redesign of Shinobi
A good redesign. Makes me very jealous.

Tay that doesn't work, the text just appears to be lighter not faded. Like I said before though firefox is kind of buggy right now so it might just be a one time thing were the effects actually work.

Well, sometimes life's a bitch, Tay.
But if you're keen on playing with CSS layouts, I've got a project for you. I'm working on a tableless layout for the page (the early stuff is here.)
The problem is when people post wide images (which is why I am using that post of yours to test it.) It seems that <div>'s don't always expand to contain an image, and they don't expand nicely on all browsers on the same setting. I'm almost thinking I have to write separate IE and Firefox stylesheets. Also, for some reason, the banner at the top won't expand to the full width when the rest of the page expands. But if you can get that page I linked to to look nice in both browsers, and at a minimum 800x600 resolution, I'd be much obliged. (Perhaps so much as to overlook your attempts to set this board up the bomb.)

Al, does that text effect work for you in Firefox too? It should start black at the left and fade away to invisible at the right... Or does it just look like a lighter-coloured font (in other words it's not working)?
