Hey, any design help is good design help, as far as I'm concerned. In the realm of design, I've got almost no talent at all. (This page is the most I've ever done...)

To be brutally honest, traditional design is not my forté. However, I can put together whatever graphics you want, and I'll attempt to be of help design-wise if you should so require it... but like I said; no guarantees on that front.
With that being said however, I think I've got an edge when it comes to non-traditional design solutions. Problem is, without a portfolio explaining what I mean, telling an employer that you're a non-traditional designer isn't exactly a marketable asset. On the other hand, should the portfolio I'm working on (version 3 as of now) turn out the way I imagine it to be, then I think it'll be checkmate as fuck.
But we'll see...
On the down-side, illustrator is kicking my ass right now.

That's pretty awesome, tay, even if you're not gonna use it.
Any chance I could commission you for some graphics/design advice for this site? (I use 'commission' loosely. I would, of course, be paying you absolutely nothing.)

Al, photoshop is amazing for drawing and painting digitally whereas illustrator is awesome for very precise graphic designs. The reason I'm getting illustrator is because I've started doing some graphic shit that takes WAAAY too long to do in photoshop. For example, while this took me maybe 4 hours to get all nice and precise in photoshop, I probably could've done the following image in about an hour in illustrator:

The shitty thing is I spent so much time getting that image just right, only to decide just last night that I'm not even going to use it.

this is just a heads up:
me and kev are painting harlem tomorrow. We got the base-coats down tonight and tomorrow we'll get our images up. We've got some sweet ideas and it's gonna be hot shit fo sho. I'll post pictures when it's finished... or feel free to hit harlem (the skatepark in the field by my house) any time after 5 tomorrow.
Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't rain tomorrow.

No, I know you don't mean anything by it. And in fact, I think this conversation is forcing us to take sides we don't even want to recognize (a la the neutrality concept).
But it's just that it's so easy to shit all over white people, and they can't really do/say anything about it (unless they're KKK or skinheads or neo-nazis or some dumbass shit like that). It just kind of frustrates me.

Yeah i was thinking of getting my own "copy" of CS2 as well. I think I'll wait though this computer I'm using is kinda of slow even using 5.5. I don't think I have much use for illustrator, looked at it and couldn't really find any use for what I was doing. Nope just Photoshop, since I'm not a graphic designer or anything like that that will do just fine. I don't think I even use 10 percent of what 5.5 can do. As for Grand Arms, I'm stuck on finding inspiration right now. If they sold inspiration at a store I would be buying it by the truckload right now.

downloading illustrator CS2! w00t w00t!!! Now if only that damn keygen would start downloading too...
It's funny, I keep scrapping my portfolio page in favour of new ideas. The crazy thing is that the more I work on this portfolio, the more things I make to go INTO the portfolio. On top of it all, I keep learning how to use new programs, the latest of which will be adobe illustrator CS 2 which can go into the resumé! I will be an unstoppable force. Hopefully.

$200 a week? Isn't rent at a decent apartment around $800 a month? Sounds like they want you to move out or something. On another note I've decided after talking with Mark to get a Acura RSX. Now all I have to do is get a job.
