aww... sorry for the delay: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALL YOU BIRTHDAY WEEK PEOPLE.
Things are lovely here... lots of rain... and the bathroom lights are motion-sensor controlled, so guess who showered in the dark today!! Actually, I think I'm still enjoying it. There was some bitterness today, but it picked up as the day went on. It would just be nice if platitudes (like please and thank-you) were used more often.
And... I have an interesting story for y'all... with respect to the questionable future of the world and all, there's one wacky developer who's created his own 'solution' that perhaps isn't much of a solution at all... but we'll see. He is building a gigantic shopping mall, business and recreation complex all under a huge biosphere dome, and it will only use renewable energy and resources. Forgive me for putting a downer on the subject, but just wait until the first accidental gas leak. And damned if I'm going to go somewhere that they're going to track everyone's whereabouts for the sake of ADT and Homeland Security... But anyway, it's an interesting read.

tired of those Greatest Hits packages that always come with only TWO new songs? yeah that's total BS. and Hilary Duff's not about to make her beloved fans by a CD just for two new songs, no, on HER GREATEST HITS COLLECTION (I SAID GREATEST HITS) she's putting on four

Pam, you should do what I did when I was in Hamburg.
Eat a Hamburger! Perhaps with some McBeer, it was a pretty tasty meal...

Par: that's cool. you picked up Armed Love yeah? any bonus action on there? is it still under the Burning Hearts imprint? as for CD previewing, i still enjoy previewing the actual CD and not just clips - although that 15 sec system's not bad, 'cause really you should be able to tell if a song is good in the first 3 secs. it's what Malcolm Gladwell would call "Thin Slicing", and what i'd call "having taste"

Hey hey. Guess who bought an actual copy of the new Noise Conspiracy album?
They have this interesting system at Saturn, the place I bought the CD from. (Think of Saturn as Germany's Future Shop.) They have the try-your-album headphone dealies, but instead of giving you a paltry selection of six CDs, there's a bar code reader. You just scan the CD and flip through 15 second samples of each track. Sounds like another item for the list of ideas we need to steal from Europe.
That, and Cologne's Chocolate Museum.
