not only is LDF getting great CD reviews, but Red Hot Daggers had some nice words said about 'em too:

We had a great time this weekend playing Garnstock. Going in we weren't too sure what to expect - we thought it might just be a few dozen people sitting around a campfire drinking beers - and while there were some campfires and beer drinking did occur, there were certainly more than a few dozen people there. Overall, the night had a great party atmosphere, and we had a great crowd as we played what we felt was our best performance to date. One particular high-point of the evening was the set by the RED HOT DAGGERS - absolutely amazing. If I could dare to make a comparison I would tell you to picture Thursday but with 10 minute-long songs and incredible instrumental breakdowns with breathtaking polyrhythms just thrown in there as if they were the easiest and most natural thing ever. I've checked the net, and I don't think they have a website or anything, but it turns out Kyle and Rob know some of the members fairly well (but they hadn't heard them in years and didn't even know we were playing with them) so with any luck we'll be playing more shows with them. So that was pretty much our weekend.

My future lightsaber would look damn sexy next to that thing. and my drinks would look even better inside of it. everything is more refreshing out of an r2 unit.

If anyone finds themeselves with some free time tomorrow and can deal with the sport of soccer, I have a game that is actually in the south side of the city. I could almost just say that it is in the city. it is at the fields at ainlay. feild #1. the one inside the track I think... it is at 7:00 and we wear red and black. Fans are always welcome. and since it is not in st. albert like tonights game, I though I would invite some peoples. I can't promise another gash on my head like I received tonight, but there should still be some bone shattering tackles and some damn exciting goals.

to sum it all up, tomorrow 7:00 feilds behind confed/ainlay. some freaken world class soccer.

hope to see you and your sexy mothers there!
