I wonder if some on the right are competing for Ann Coulter's 'Delusional Insanity' Crown. on the death of Peter Jennings:

Peter Jennings is dead. May he rest in peace. Lest we forget, however, while he was alive, Peter Jennings did considerable damage to the cause of civilization and human decency by his sympathy for Jew-hating terrorists and their supporters.
The comments are even more batshit crazy.

Hey Par, I was reading about ajax in this brief article here:

"Instead of loading a webpage, at the start of the session, the browser loads an Ajax engine — written in JavaScript and usually tucked away in a hidden frame. This engine is responsible for both rendering the interface the user sees and communicating with the server on the user’s behalf. "

Its kinda funny, this is what I thought stuff like gmail, google maps etc was doing. In fact when I was thinking of making a game, I built a page for the game that used a hidden frame to refresh and reload content. Kinda cool, I shoulda kept going with it, I could have called it ed-jax.

Hey Al, have you heard anything about this new military weapons system dubbed the DREAD? It sounds pretty fuckin crazy. I guess it's a centrifuge-based projectile system. According to the article, it will revolutionize armaments. Read all the specs on it here.

okay, forget about adding the stripped twist-tie to the end of the exposed iPod antenna. Instead, add this shit to the end of your iPod antenna:

Now you have your own iPirate radio station! Tell the FCC to shove it with this do-it-yourself amplifier for your Griffin iTrip. The only broadcast license you need is the License to Rock™ (License to Rock™ may not be applicable in Federal court proceedings).

you guys remember the old drive-in movie theaters? Remember how there was a wire that you would attach to your car antenna so that the movie's audio track would play over your radio??? How the fuck did those things work? I can't find ANY information about it, but I really wanna make one to attach to the antenna on my work van so that I can play my miniDisc over the radio.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

oh yeah... Eric: if you want to increase the broadcasting range/power of your iTrip by about 30% I read about a super-easy hack: poke a hole through the little sticker-covering thing on the top of it (whatever that is... I don't have an iTrip so I'm not sure what it is). And then take a pair of tweezers and pull the little antenna wire out of the iTrip so that it's exposed outside the casing of the iTrip. There. 30% more range. I'd also suggest increasing it moreso by attaching a stripped twist-tie to the iTrip antenna a la my old cellphone. I bet the drivers around you would really appreciate hearing your music too! haha
