So, The Smoking Gun has copies of a bunch of correspondence between George W. Bush (at various stages of his public office life) and Harriet Miers (who is, of course, his nominee to the Supreme Court). Getting beyond the bizarrely ginormous loops in Harriet Miers' handwriting, one of the letters from Bush had a most interesting postscript. At least, the only interpretation I can come up with for the handwriting (it isn't the most legible) is interesting. This letter, which appears to wish Harriet Miers a happy birthday, ends with a line that seems to be

Is Percy giving interview tips?
Not to be an ass, Percy, but aren't you the one who hasn't had a job?

It sounds silly but maybe rehearsal will help? It's utterly embarassing but after a couple of runs it doesn't seem so bad, try and force your parents into listening or roleplaying. That way, when you're upon the moment, last night's embarassing ordeal will make the interview seem like a walk in the park.

I'm freaking out about my interview tomorrow! I know I should calm down but it is getting really hard to do that.

I ended up getting behind in my studies, and really couldn't afford to take the time and go to the concert. though I was on campus at the time. which felt like a real kick in the teeth. if it was tonight, or tomorrow night, or pretty much any other night I would've been ok to go. ohh well, I guess that means I have an extra 15 bucks to go buy a certain cd of a certain band that performed at a certain concert that I missed. Or one of many others that I desire
Yesterday was a cool day anyways. I got to pretend I was a firefighter. put on all the gear, went into a burning building, used the firehose, chopped off the roof of a car, carried unconscous people( well, they were pretending), and went for a ride in on of those baskets that go real high in the air. among other fun stuff. fire is fun, and smoke is definatly the most dangerous part of most house fires.
