HOLY SHIT: a free convoluting reverb VST!!!!

Okay, I doubt any of you understand the significance of this. Let me explain:

Convoluting reverbs are the latest technology in reverb-simulation. Basically, any software-based reverb is gonna sound totally unnatural... because it is. However, with the recent development of convoluting reverbs, you get a reverb that sounds nearly identical to a natural space. How is this possible? Simple.

Well, NOT simple actually. What convoluting reverbs do is use an "impulse response" algorithm to calculate the reverb. Basically, a bunch of audio engineers go into a space, set up a bunch of equipment and turn the accoustics of that space into a mathematical formula. And they do it VERY precisely. In other words, if you download the impulse response for the sydney opera house and plug it into a convoluting reverb which you've applied to an audio signal... well, the resulting sound is in theory IDENTICAL to what your audio signal would sound like if it was ACTUALLY RECORDED IN THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE.

Like I said... this shit is nothing short of amazing. Convoluting reverbs are running for a ridiculous sum of money these days... and for good reason. And yet... here I find a free one? Fucking incredible.

The only downside to all this however is that convo reverbs are basically guaranteed eat up all of your CPU's power...

but that's a minor setback if you ask me.

I can't wait to use this shit on a new computer that can actually handle it. Fuck the old Red Hot Daggers disc (which isn't even out yet)... wait'll you hear the new EP!!!

You mean they're actually in the same approximate key/tempo? If that's the case... my brain is fucking amazing for knowing that.

But I have mp3s of both songs. And my computer can play two songs at once... like magic! (without a k.)

On an unrelated note, Why righties screw better than lefties.

Actually, you're right. Even without polishing it, those two songs together don't sound half bad. (Hmm... two songs, not half bad? Some weird musical 'rithmetic going on there...)
