So... I had to try...
At 2 am it was freaking hot and humid in our apartment, so I decided to wander down to the Marche aux Fleurs and see if either of the Irish pubs would let me put the hockey game on. Turns out that most bars close at 12:30 in Nice, so no luck. But I could see some lights on and some people inside one bar... people without clothes on... getting up off the floor... two guys... I decided whatever they would make me do to put the hockey game on... wasn't worth it.
Anyways, random wandering the next day we found a place replaying the hockey game. So Mary and I got to watch the third period while drinking 5 euro heineken. It was kinda a pissy game to watch (game 2) seeing as the Oilers lost shamefully 5-0 and the fact that we had to drink a lot of beer to sit there.

I think the real question is:
"is a biggie bigger than a hugie?".

Wendy's loses its war on English:
Wendy's International Inc. (WEN.N: Quote, Profile, Research), the No. 3 U.S. hamburger chain, on Friday said it would remove the term "Biggie" from its french fries and drinks, switching to the well known terms small, medium and large.
However, the new designations may confuse some diners who are used to such sizing at other restaurants.
At rival McDonald's Corp. (MCD.N: Quote, Profile, Research), the largest burger chain, a 32 ounce soft drink is designated a large. At Wendy's, a 32 ounce drink will now be called medium, instead of Biggie.
Wendy's is also adding a 42-ounce soft drink -- the equivalent of 3-1/2 cans of soda -- as its large. The large drink will come in a more durable, portable plastic cup that fits in a car cup holder for diners on-the-go.
So Biggie=medium and large=bigger than Biggie. Got it?

Oh yeah, the new sidetrack, in case any of you havn't been, is pretty freaken weak. half of the seats do not have a line of sight to the stage. it looks like any misc. neighborhood pub with cheap wood paneling on all the walls. Unless there is a great show there, I probably won't be back. especially when there is a $10 cover to get in. not so impressed.
how bout those oilers eh!????
