Taylor, so what if it's all "cut and paste" and so what if it all "sucks"? Some of us, myself included, have extremely little experience using Photoshop. So what if we don't have the elitist skills like yourself with such programs. Do you think I care that I only spent 15 minutes putting some stupid picture together? I bet when you started out you had some nice "Paint" jobs as well (of course, I'm naturally wrong on this point, you were obviously a complete master when you first started). When you first started playing drums I bet no one came by and said, "Fuck, that's the shittest attempt at playing I've ever heard, don't bother if your not gonna do it well, what a waste of time".

Big deal, it's call having fun and learning!

As for the concept and the lack of novelty is apparently has, the 10 pictures over the span of 6 days pale in comparison to the countless number of personality tests and results that have been posted, as well as the weeks of MCing, which I must admit was quite good at the beginning, but quickly became a big section of text I loathed to scroll through and didn't "cut it anymore". Of course I didn't criticize or object since I completely lack any skill when it came to that and of course, simply couldn't do any better. You on the other hand, are in a position where you can show us n00bs exactly how crappy we are. How about you take this (somewhat) funny concept and make it into something that can cut it in your eyes. Show us what a real Photoshop picture looks like! Of course, there is no obligation to respond or even acknowledge, especially since it comes from a n00b lamer who has less than 3 hours of Photoshop experience.

On the topic of wasted time Taylor, the time spent reading your double post of what AD posted is a couple minutes I would like to have back.

I just wanted to say that for the most part (there are one or two exceptions however, and you know who you are) those photoshops suck ass. You guys didn't even TRY to make them look good. Way to fuckin cut n' paste. I don't even know why you call that shit a 'photoshop'. It's a fuckin MS PAINT JOB is what that is. Just sad. I'm disappointed. Why bother if you're not even gonna do it well? Way to waste your time guys. (And in case someobdy decides to point out the obvious; I assure you that I ALREADY fully understand the irony in my wasting my OWN time to write this)

I mean, okay... fair enough that the first 2 or 3 were shitty... kuz it was basically just the concept that was (somewhat) funny. But DAMN. After the 10th one, the idea alone doesn't cut it anymore.

Nice try, thanks for comin out.

So this is what I heard happened with Coheed And Cambria at the Calgary Warped Tour (just to re-iterate and go into more detail about what AD said):

Apparently Claudio (their lead singer) came out fuckin shit-faced carrying a 3/4 empty bottle of Jack Daniels. He totally butchered the first song. He didn't bother singing half the lyrics, and the words he DID manage to get out weren't in key or in time. He spent most of the song laughing to himself at how shitty he was performing. Second song he starts using the JDs bottle as a 'slide' on the guitar... just basically making noise and not even bothering to play. Apparently it sounded just as good this way as when he was actually trying to play anyway. Most people thought it was funny at first, but some kid yelled "Learn to play guitar you drunkard!" at which point he replied "you WISH you could play like this!". At first the crowd tolerated it, hoping they would play at least one or two decent songs somewhere in the set. But some people weren't pleased, and it was getting to Claudio. Around the third song he insulted some kid in the crowd and called him a "nigger". It was at that point when apparently everybody was suddenly like "did he just say what I thought he said?". People started yelling at him to play better, and then apparently he lost it and was just like "C'MON!!! Hit me in the face with your bottles!!! (everyone had bottled-water to drink from) HIT ME, it's a BIG target!!!" (referring to the size of his 'fro). Then he said some pretty insulting things about Canadians and challenged everyone to hit him in the head with their bottles. Obviously everybody started pelting him with their bottles during the 4th song. The guitarist and bassist had to play off-stage just to not get hit and they were CLEARLY pissed off with Claudio's behaviour. Their manager told them to stop playing and after the fourth song the mics went dead and the crowd booed them off the stage as Claudio just laughed.

To see the staggering number of absolutely disgusted CoCa fans just check out the thread on their websites forum which (at the time of my posting this) is 22 pages long:

    Coheed and Cambria forums.

Fuck, now I don't regret missing Warped Tour at all. AD, if you were a big CoCa fan; my condolances buddy- that's really shitty that this had to have happened.

Also, I'd like to point out the following:

Any band that has the good fortune to make ends meet by playing on the road has a fucking responsibility to give the fans the best performance they can possibly muster. There are a million bands out there who nobody knows about that are just as good (if not better) than the majority of bands that have 'made it big'. Hell, just tonight my band played with a local Edmonton band called Blacklisted who are so fucking talented and amazing in every way that it hurts my brain just thinking about it. When your band is lucky enough to be one of the few that will ever have the chance to make some sort of living out of it, that's when it becomes a JOB. And if you expect to keep that job, you damn well better show up to work prepared to do what is required of you to your best abilities. Otherwise, fuck off- there are better bands out there who are more deserving of this opportunity than you are. Go back to working at Quizno's.

That particular story, I must have told literally thousands of times and one of the problems you have is when you tell a story that often, after a while, all you can remember is the story. You can't remember the original event. . . In the end, I assume the story is true, but I've only got my own word for it.

    alison's been challenged? what? where?
If you mean the "don't come to work on Friday" thing, well it's pretty obvious that I've failed that challenge. But what else can I do? I have staff that have to stop by and talk to me, we were supposedly going to have a talk from the VP Ops/Fi today about our budgets... never happened, and I've got another council meeting to prepare for.

Here are the three questions I have to prepare for:
Why should the SU fund an eco centre?
    Justify your existence
What do students get out of your service?

my personal favourite is the middle one. Where does a person get off thinking they have absolute control over the world because 20 people voted them in? AND he knows NOTHING about ECOS anyway.

I'm still here. So for those of you who thought this would defeat me, you were so very wrong. I think I might have defeated my ears though. And maybe my colon... The highlight of the night had to be NoFX. They were awesome live. Those guys are funnier in real life than thier music would suggest. Plus, they played whatever we told them to, so it was all good. Right before them Bad religion played. They were pretty incredible too. Not funny, but the music was great. The only really good story though was the lead singer for Coheed and Cambria. He was absolutely tanked on stage. He walked out with about three quarters of a 2-6 of whiskey in his hand and finished of in about 10 minutes. Mostly at the crowds behest. He sounded like absolute shit, fucked up most of his slurred lyrics, and by the end was taunting the crowd to pelt him with bottles. The number of flying objects at the stage was quite the sight to behold. The rest of the band was angry as hell though. Saw the drummer get whacked in the face with a bottle. So, keep an eye on that band as they may not be around to much longer.

I could easily get into a social commentary about the rampant drugs and 14 year old girls pretending to be sluts, but then, I think I've already said enough about that. Or I could get into the destruction of the origional meaning of punk. Most of the people I saw there were merely mindless sheep who went along just so that they could belong to something. I won't rant about that though. The anti-bush was pretty rampant too. And while I agree with what they say, I just see most people there as jumping on the bandwagon. Kinda sad at the end of the day. number of people there, about 15,000. number of sheep, about 10,000. Still an awesome time though.
