Yeah, that's why I didn't. And because that would've been mean and unwarranted. hahaha

my apologies, Taylor. I must have neglected to see the introductory single quotation mark in 'yay's, and thought you only had the second one in place.

You do, however have no reason to negate my vote anyway, as I did say that it was primarily a "nay" vote for the purposes of preventing future bombings, as I'm not a big fan.

You can't stand the incorrect usage of apostrophes? That's fair. Neither can I. But I also can't stand people who can't stand my use of quotation marks when I use them correctly.

Please see quotation mark usage here.

Here are the ways I used quotation marks in my post that you referred to, as detailed in the above link:

  • British and United States style differs as to whether single or double quotation marks are used, but neither is an absolute rule, and a publisher's or even an author's style may take precedence. (The only absolute rule is consistency!)

  • Another important usage of quotation marks is to indicate or call attention to ironic or apologetic words. Ironic quotes are sometimes called scare quotes or sneer quotes. [They] are also used to indicate that the writer realizes that the word is not being used in its (currently) accepted sense.

  • Under the circumstances, I'm almost tempted to change your vote for you since your reasoning for voting 'nay' was invalid.

    But I won't.

Did you know that a mere 4 miles beneath our feet, the earth is approximately 1700 degrees celcius? That's some fucked up shit right there that is. Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering magma erupts from the floor of the earth on a regular basis.

Not to be outdone, we Canadians have our own Ann Coulter, Ezra Levant.

Interestingly, he makes a reference to Bourque.org as a popular source of news. This comes from the fact that they got 3 million visits in the month of June. Well this site must be awesome. Out of a free university page, without advertising from Ezra Levant, we got nearly 4000 hits in June! Therefore, 4000 people must read this message board!

all you living near high-tension power lines, beware. As people have been saying for years, they're emitting energy... more energy than just that buzzing you hear too. This picture (and some of the work this guy does) looks at what high-tension power lines are doing to their environment. These flourescent tubes are being powered by the electromagnetic field generated by the powerlines above.

for more, check here for more on the guy. he works in neon and flourescent lighting a lot
