I hope to see you all there - And tickets are relativley cheap- either 8 or 11 dollars, bring your student ID - you may get a discount - but you can't hold me to that.

first tony i would be down for garden state, everyone i know who has seen it has enjoyed it.... plus my friend from ontario has seen it and said since it was so good hell see it again... furthermore i dont think ive seen u since crosshairs just after school ended its been a long damn while.... i am assuming of course that tonestar runner is indeed tony i am only 80% sure.... if it turns out that thats not u tony then person whoever u are fuck off i dont want to see that piece of shit movie with u... and paras heres a message for u.... i was at jaipur palace 2 weeks ago for my grandmas birthday, and everyone had a delicious meal..... i was very impressed with it and the dessert was most delicious (it was gulab jamin ya i dont know how to spell it but it was excellent).... in short paras i think uve been eating at maurya too long and uve forgotten what good indian food tastes like.... or it could just be that u didnt eat any of the good meat dishes..... the vegetarian fare at most indian restaurants is in my opinion (which no offence counts for more than most peoples on this board because i honestly think a lot of u have very poor taste) subpar except for maybe a good vegetable curry if its available... most of the other stuff, which i would be unable to name, is pure shit, mostly unidentifiable slop that i wouldnt have fed to my dog (rip max)... i think ive had the vegetarian restaurant discussion with for before, i can only commiserate with u concerning the dearth of such eating establishments in this city and wish u the best of luck in ur search for a good one

- Gripe time. Allow me to preface this gripe with a bit of background about the restaurants that I and my family (which includes the uncle, aunt and cousins next door) frequent. As a matter of fact, I can barely use the noun "restaurants", because, in essence, in the past four years we've been to two. That's not two times, that's two different restaurants. Dozens of times. Granted, I occasionally manage to convince them to go someplace different, for some variety, but these excursions are rare (perhaps once a year) and generally end up with either "< restaurant name > doesn't have the selection that < unnamed large chain italian restaurant that rhymes with Tallive Schmarden > has" or "It's okay, but I like the indian food at < unnamed indian restaurant that rhymes with Your-ya Palace> better."
Today, in celebration of my cousin's 19th birthday, we went out for lunch. And, I'm told, we're going someplace different. "We're going beyond our two regulars?!" Apparently, not very far beyond. In fact, the choice of the afternoon, Jaipur Palace, which is less than 100 meters from the unnamed indian restaurant with the iron grip over my family's celebratory eating. Moreover, the new place, to put it eloquently, sucks donkey dong. So, we have to endure this place, where the first smell that greets you as you enter is the pleasant aroma of washroom, and where the number of patrons tripled when we entered. Service? sucks. Food? among the worst punjabi food I'd ever had. In fact, as I type, my stomach is letting me know how bad that food actually was. When a sweet dish like kheer (a sort of rice pudding-ish dessert) tastes sour, something is definitely not right.
To add insult to injury, no complaints from my folks. Sure, when I pick a non-indian restaurant whose selection is a little smaller, no end to the complaints. But when my uncle picks an indian restaurant with crappy service and food, not a peep. Hoo-fucking-ray!
So, I've decided to go scouting. Generally, when we hit a restaurant, we'd like some variety. I figure we need at least five decent vegetarian dishes. First place I'd like to check out is Cafe Mosaics on Whyte. If anyone has an interest in joining me on my expedition, or another suggestion of a decent place with good vegetarian selection, feel free to let me know.
This concludes gripe time. Stay tuned for son-of-a-bitch-I-have-to-go-to-the-can time.

- In further music news:
Who: Gomez
When: 22 September
Where: Red's
Tickets: about $22.50
If you aren't already familiar with Gomez, they are a five-piece roots rock/BritPop band from the Manchester area, with songs such as "Shot Shot", "We Haven't Turned Around" and "Get Myself Arrested". I highly recommend them. And as of right now, I'm seeking to put together a crew for this show, so if you are interested, let me know.
