To show how comercialized Valentine days is I have made this love letter using this love letter generator. Well this won't get me nothing but I'll show you what it spat out.

Dear Generic Girl,

How are things, my darling?
I hope you are well and are feeling cheerful as always.

Sweetheart, I just wanted to let you know that you are wonderful part of my life!

I don't know if I've never told you this, but your amazing multicoloured eyes have always fascinated me! I love how they are such weird colours and think you look really cool. Marylin Manson also has cool eyes but his are fake lenses and not natural like yours (plus you are better looking then him). I think its really cute the way your eyes dilate when you get angry (as they are probably doing right now, no doubt)

Your multicoloured hair is even more astounding. I love the way the different colours compliment each other, just like those flashing Japanese Manga characters or even those little plastic troll dolls.

I love it when we hit the nightclubs downtown. Its so much fun to make a complete twit of myself with my dancing techniques, and its even more fun watching you and your friends rolling around the floor laughing at me!

You know I've always loved your gorgeous smile and I can't wait to see you again so I can drool over your smile and make a complete fool out of myself in public as always.

Anyway darling, I must sign off now. I can't wait to see you again, especially if you are gonna be wearing sexy black underwear for me! Go on, surprise me! I've often wondered what you would look like wearing those. I bet you'd look cute!

You are the only reason I exist, and my life is meaningless without you.

Happy Valentines Day!

Forever and eternally yours,

Generic guy

So if BC (whatever it is you mean by that) were to square off against nothing, nothing would win?

Yo I be workin' late night in the lab
perfectin' my jabs. My mind be honed
cuz this life is on loan. Even when I
rest it's like a tireless groan. There's
no mercy under the light nor my night.
I be crawlin' to the fight, my head spinnin'
There's no way to fight right but
I gotta roll, where my boiz at at midnight
when the light bites bright and I'm just
too slight jumpin on the bomb site?
Step up forthright to the stand on the stage
pass me the mike and get ready to
be blown away and just pray you'll make
it to the next day to the cafe for a
damn triple latte.

Triple latte, pah, do they even make those? Tea dammit! Tea!
I'm so tired. Where's the vulcan strength I ordered? Damn you
Tuvok! Damn you!

Here's a pretty funny video I found of one of Edmonton's better-known bands. The funny thing is that Tom starts bitching about seeing a guitar costing $1500 in a guitar-shop when his own guitar is probably worth over 2 grand.

(taken from milkandcookies.com)

David Blaine performed such a horrific, gory illusion at a taping of Carson Daly's late-night show, NBC was considering canceling the segment. "Oh God, it was so gross - David pulled his beating heart out of his chest, put it back in, and then collapsed," said one spy at the taping. "He had to be carried off the stage by some helpers. Some girls in the audience ran out crying and screaming, while Carson just stood there stunned and they blacked out the stage."

Or instead of waiting up all night with your dial tuned to CBC3 you can just come down to the Victory Lounge tomorrow night (doors at about 8:00 or so) and instead of listening to Pangina on the shitty ol' radio you can watch them play a live show along with LIME. And then if you still want to you can always listen to Pangina on the radio AFTER THAT.

But despite all that, the Mark Birtles Project CD release at the Shark Tank is gonna be the better show I'm afraid.

For all you insomniacs out there, CBC Radio 3 has got another spot on the 780 scene this Saturday night.

Scott Lingley takes us around Edmonton, a city whose music scene flourishes this time of year; if only because hibernation isn't an option. Music from Junior Gone Wild, Pangina and Carolyn Mark soundtracks a trip through such city hot spots like Café Mosaics and the Ambassador Hotel that proves once and for all that Edmonton is more that just about the Oilers and Eskimos.
